George homestay feels like home away from home

This home stay stands above our expectations. Family like feeling, home made food actually food is far better. Nice view from room.

I stayed Here for just two days but the hospitality the care taker provided was I never found in any other Homestay or hotels they were so polite so gentle and so much caring.. they also cook food according to your taste and about the rooms and washrooms were very neat and clean and the view from the room balcony is something you will love and some places to visit is in walking distance. ❤️❤️ you will feel like home due to care taker and food

It is far distance from mall road. It is situated in high hilly area. So it is bad experiance to stay in this property. Tnk

Wifi password not given geysers are switched off by owner at night so will face problem in the morning

Location is quite in, food was awesome, clean rooms, staff was very humble, it was very safe and felt like staying at our guest place. They have treated us as we are from there family. We have build some sort of attachment with those ladies. Main part was bedding it was electric which gave worm to my dad and mom since they were 85yrs old. It was excellent stay people must go and take their service its very homely and timely served what ever we ordered. Thank you to all those ladies who have given us a personal touch with their service. Will come back soon with the friends.

Remember-able stay, would like to comeback again. Staffs and owner both were very friendly.

Extremely remote location, far away from darjeeling mall, unavailability of taxi, high tariff for very short distance, lastly owner didn't disclose the food rate till the last point of time & trust me its more than exorbitant. According to her unfortunately it's reasonable. But it's the most expensive in darjeeling for me.

Homestay's location is about 3 km away from meal is difficult to find out by tourist pedestrian because of steep altitude which costs dearly to move here and there but homestay people and caretaker are very very much cordial, loyal and heartwarming so that tourists cannot feel they are outside of home and truly to say homestay.

Excellent choice for solo traveller, family, friends. Homemade food available. The caretaker and their family are very caring to the needs of every guest. Taxi can also be arranged. Hygiene maintained. Neat, clean and tidy. Quiet and away from city. Right outside india's heritage school from 1800s, st. Paul's school.

My words are not enough to justify the hospitality experience. It was a home away from home experience for us. We were three friends and we were treated as brothers of the host. The way they took care of us was simply wow. They have a small cafe attached to the hotel and they call it as "jordan's cafe. I must say that we had experienced the best homemade darjeeling food. We literally had all the meals at the hotel itself because it was really very tasty. In 3 days we had 2x spicy ramen, chicken keema with aloo paratha, omelette a loo paratha, bread omelette, wai-wai, special darjeeling noodles, chicken momos, roti-dal-vegetable curry, jeera ghee rice with utterly delicious spicy chicken, and what not. If you are visiting darjeeling, i would recommend to experience the best hospitality with marvelous food.

The location was ok, the property was clean and the caretaker was very helpful. They provided fresh food which was very nice. We have received all the conveniences and the room was also comfortable, there was mountains view from the room.

At the top of Darjeeling. We opted for a short trek but got lost. But the Homestay hosts found us and guided our way. Welcoming tea was really a need upon reaching. Dinner at night was also very good. And it was served in such a short notice. But the room was very stuffy. We woke at the middle of the night due to suffocation. Overall had a good experience

Overall it was good, but the location of the property was far from the main town so problematic to travel. Not many more facilities to mention but basic facilities were present. The washroom needs an exhaust fan.

Beautiful place, helpful owner, nice view from hotel.

The hotel is located in a peaceful location away from the hustle bustle of traffic. The location is a bit away from downtown. The hospitality was top notch. Food was great. The mall market is Around 20 minutes by walking. But you would need vehicle to come back from the market as the Road will be very steep. You will get home made food.

Me and my friend went to Darjeeling and had two days stay at George Home stay. It was a wonderful stay. Very peaceful and away from City noise. And the hosts. Wonderful ladies they are. No matter how much I write its not enough for the hospitality they have provided. They made us feel so homely, that we felt we are at our sisters place. They gave us wonderful suggestions about local delicacies and shopping destinations. Also they have arranged cabs for us at budget prices. Rooms are neat and cozy, have a nice balcony. 24 hours hot water and WiFi was provided. Hot water flask and packaged water was provided as well. Overall, I will definitely suggest this place to my acquaintances, who want serenity in Darjeeling away from crowd and experience a wonderful hospitality.

No facility for driver. They charged room rent for driver stay, driver food. Location is also out of common Road at a hill, but very good family members and good scenery.
