Fenn Hall | Rooms in a Homestay

Nestled right in the heart of town, Fenn Hall offers a surprising sanctuary, beautifully shielded from the usual urban buzz. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time; the place exudes a wonderful sense of history and a truly charming heritage feel. Our rooms were not just nice, but also impeccably clean and inviting, making us feel instantly comfortable and at ease – it was wonderfully cozy. There is a small pond just in front of the building, adorned with beautiful lotus flowers in bloom and with little fish swimming about. It added a touch of serenity to the entire experience. Furthermore, the owner and caretaker were incredibly helpful, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with anything we needed, which truly enhanced our stay. It's a place where you can enjoy the convenience of being in town while also finding peace and quiet.

The stay in the property is average. The problem is the cleanliness. Rooms are not much clean. And there is no proper lenin. Even the cot is not the proper one. For the amount we pay they have to give proper home stay feel.

Our stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean and neat. Overall a very good experience.

The room is easily accessible. Its clean and neat. Only room is available. No WiFi. Hot water available. Its a home stay. Located near to Kottayam collectorate. Its calm and quite place. Its a budgetory homestay in the city.

To start off, this was a last minute booking done, thinking it must be a hotel, pretty late in the evening, as we didn't have many options to look for at that point. Little we knew about the surprise we were about to get, which we later found out that it was a home-stay and was managed by amazing Fenn family. In spite of unavailability of domestic help during our stay, Dr Mathai made sure we didn't have any difficulty during our stay. He was very kind enough to take me through the nearby must-see places/ routes as I was looking forward to rest of my Kerala trip. Thanks to Dr. Mathai for all the directions and help. Surely would recommend this place in case you are looking for a place in Kottayam.

The location is the best. But room needs updation and more clean rooms are expected. Dust was inside. Toilets are not up to the mark. You can not find any staff during night to assist you. Sundays too.

Some surprise to begin with, as I reached, the caretaker had no idea about my booking and all their rooms were full! Had to spent a couple of hours in another small room before moving to the type of room I reserved. I stayed at Fenn Hall for two nights on an official visit. It s a perfect homestay. A nostalgic colonial home converted and spacious and clean room. Good caretaker. Great for families. Food is not readily available (had to be ordered from outside but they have arrangements). Tea is instantly available. Also good cab services. 850 from Railway station and private bus stand. Just two minutes walk from Collectorate.

Fenn hall provided us with good services. It has a calm atmosphere but is in the city. The room was clean and the interior design was good. It has a traditional look. Its a nice place to come with friends. The only disadvantage is that it is difficult to find without using google maps.
