Gurez is best known for its riverside tent accommodations and camping. Since I was traveling with senior citizens, I chose a hotel for a bit more comfort. There aren’t many hotels in the area, and this is one of the limited options available. Overall, the stay was average. It’s priced similarly to tier-2 holiday destinations, but amenities are more basic. The staff were the real highlight—very warm and attentive. The owner was responsive and ensured we got freshly prepared food whenever we asked. Rooms are simple, the washroom is on the smaller side, but hot water was available. Frequent power cuts are common due to the remote location. If you’re okay with a homestay-like experience and aren’t too sensitive to cleanliness, this hotel is a decent choice—especially if you’re traveling with family and want something more comfortable than tents.

One of the best in gurez in a difficultterrain

familyThe stay was good, room was decent with straight habba khatoon view. Food was average. But the owner was very proactive before and after stay to guide us in every aspect. Inf-act we left something back and he has been kind enough to courier it to us. Given that gurez is far away from accessibility pov what this resort offers is much better in near by area.

It was a very good stay. Services are really good. Staff were nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious they had great views of habakhatoon mountain and river. Good hotel at dawar, gurez vally.

We stayed at d’shaikhs hotel at dawar, gurez. The hotel is on good location and well equipped. Food quality was also hot and best part of our stay was staff behaviour who were always ready to provide support. Overall a good experience.

Your feedback helps us do better.sir ,we provide all type of meals as per customer demand some dishes need extra time to get prepared so shuld be ordered before 1 to 2 hours as we dont keep cooked food freezed we always cook fresh nd hygenic food .regarding other issue like price ,food here in Gurez is bit expensive than other cities reson being that gurez is remote area transport nd carriage charges are higher every small item is being transported from srinagar nd bandipora .still we are working on this issue and hope to resolve it promptly and accurately.we hope to host u again if we get chance.

D sheikh resort is at apt location. You get an awesome view of habba khatoon from their property. Rooms are highly comfortable and staff is always ready to help u in every way and mr imtiaz is such a wonderful human. He keeps his guests like a family member. During our stay he checked on us every now and then. Although we stayed in their other property that is gurez camping site, which is next to river bed. Food too is amazing at d sheikh resort.

coupleProperty has a great view of the habba khatoon peak from the rooms. Power cuts are frequent in the region but the property has a generator and provides electric blankets. Property had some renovation in progress, it might become a better option to stay in gurez

soloI stayed here for 2 nights and the manager ramzan bhai made me feel welcome. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was clean with nice views. Although my bathroom was small. They said some rooms have small bathroom. The food was especially very tasty, everything i ordered was really good.
