The homestay is located at the edge of a tiny hamlet situated between Kalimpong and Icche Gaon. The rooms offer and excellent view of the mountains. Our host Chiring was a thoroughly helpful gentleman and suggested several treks and day trips and also accompanied us to a viewpoint that offered an excellent view of the Mathu la and Jhandidara.

Hotel rooms are good. In fact great. No complains. Food was super awesome. Like home. People were very polite, helpful. Though there were few problems. There was TV in the room, but the DTH was not recharged. Pillows were not that good. Only one led lamp. Bedside lamp holders were there but no bulbs. If you are planning for a great clean room with an awesome mountain view and sunset from room window, book the king's nest room. Would really like to visit again. Hope these problems will also be solved by then.

Room could have been a bit larger. There should be some initiative to clean the room particularly when the guest books room for 2 to 3 nights. However the view from the room is awesome. Hospitality of the management is excellent. Overall good experience in the Zambala guest house.

My recommendation is to stay in this Guest house if you want to stay in Kalimpong area. All the prices are very reasonable.

The guest house was nice and the owner was helpful. The food served was homely and good. However, location and electricity was the only issue. Location wise it is 15km from Kalimpong town and electricity was on and off.

The view from the room was amazing.. We enjoyed the sunset sitting on the room. It was a perfect place to stay relaxed and feel the beauty of nature. The king of mountains " Kanchenjunga" can be seen by trekking. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
