Mixed Experience at Westcoast Gokarna

familyWe recently stayed at Westcoast Gokarna, and while the location is excellent—close to various beaches and the main Gokarna temple—the stay had its highs and lows. The rooms were clean, pleasant, and the staff was cooperative, which added to the comfort of our stay. The owner, Mr. Vinay Nadkarni, is a friendly and helpful person. He assisted us in finding a great guide for Gokarna beach trekking, which we truly appreciated. However, he recommended a nearby restaurant called Royal for fish, and it was a horrible experience—disappointing food and not worth visiting. Several areas of the hotel could be improved. There was no landline ,although Wi-Fi was provided. mini fridge was not available in the rooms, which is essential given the humid weather. Basic amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, bath stools, and extra towels (when more than 2 guests stay in a room) were not provided. After two reminders third towel was provided.We also faced frequent water cuts and an AC issue that required multiple calls to resolve and get the things done. bottled water beyond the complimentary supply was limited to Aquafina or some local brand instead of Bisleri. Overall, the stay was okay. The property needs to address these shortcomings to justify the pricing.

Don’t book, not worth it !

couplePathetic experience, i visited this hotel for one night but experience was horrible. Rooms are new but frequent power failures and no backup in place resulting in no proper sleep and no hot water. Staff is not proactive in handling such issues, they are not trained. Paid 8500 for night but service is of hotels of 1500. Staff is struggling to guide nearby attractions. They are just milking money without giving service. Won’t recommend

it's not worth that much. food is available in the premise or in room dining service is available but it's not.you have to go accross the road for food.so if you take out the food.there is only service related to the room.that as well was pathetic.i had to ask for room cleaning next day.asked for a fresh towel multiple times but didn't get.we had to ask multiple times for the complementary water bottles and then got

We booked a dormitory for 2 nights stay at west coast gokarna. It was a delightful stay. The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. The home stay’s location is perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay. There was no amenities water was not there due to pressure pump was not working same thing was informed but no action was taken by them and also for half a extension they charged full day price you don’t get anything at all in the stay not worth the money

In all location wise very central and perfectly perched where you have all amenities. They do not serve food but hove some decent restaurants around to dine. Suggest that west coast gokarn’s starts offering food too - local cuisine. That’d be ace. Amenities and services wise has everything that would ensure you have a very comfortable stay. However noteworthy is its people / team that make it so so good. Peter, the lady at the reception, rohit and the person who helped us with our luggages were exceptionally friendly, polite and very courteous. It definitely sources from the owners who are both mostly on property. Vinay and his partner are exceedingly helpful to go that extra mile in adding that special touch to your holiday. Especially having seniors citizens on this trip. Be it info about gokarna or chalking out an itinerary for you whilst in gokarn. They are the very best ! the rooms are very very clean, very new with a huge clean bathroom, linens squeaky clean along with the extra bed that we availed.
