It was a family trip to Jodhpur and we had booked rooms in Stepwell Hotel through MMT . The approach to the hotel in our car was a bit cumbersome as we had t wade through city traffic on narrow street of old town . But on reaching the hotel we were received by extremely courteous staff. The rooms were very comfortable . we had lunch and next day breakfast which was a treat . It was finger licking delicious. Overall , it was a wonderful stay

Awesome heritage hotel with a decent staff and also with good good great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travel-led with two six year olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed

soloThe staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the stay was pretty disappointing. The rooms are way smaller than the pictures. They lack basic amenities. The bathroom was really outdated. The room also wasn’t properly cleaned and had trash from the previous guests. They do give complimentary breakfast at step-well cafe. The cafe has a great view and ambience, and the hosts provide nice reminders for breakfast. However, the breakfast is average. The only good thing is the location! and the good views of toor ji ka jhalra.

Great place, unfortunate room odour

groupThe people at the reception were amazing and very accomodating. However, we landed with a room with odour, which hampered our experience. This was unfortunate because we had 3 rooms and one was not great. The other two had a great view of the stepwell. So would definitely recommend the place.

The location of this place is amazing! it is right next to toorji ka jhalra. The rooms are cozy. There is no wifi, and the bathrooms are quite old. The stairs lighting can also use some ramp up. All in all, a nice budget friendly place to stay.

Worst experience

Yesterday i reached hotel at 1 am. I paid for the room and was not up to the mark. The room is full of cockroaches, bathroom was dirty, flush with as not working. When i tried to contact the customer care. I can only see the “ schedule the call “ option. i would have asked for a refund and would have gone to a different hotel. And also for breakfast, we have to go outside the hotel. There were literally cockroaches when we entered the room. Also, we waited for the receptionist. He was not present.

I was given room in which bathroom taps were not working. I shifted to other room but there tap was working but it was very difficult to operate it, overall experience of bathroom was horrible.

The property was relatively easy to find, and is a quite homestay in a residential lane. The owner is quite friendly and co operative. The room was clean and the sheets on the bed and towels provided was of good quality. The location though, is a bit of a distance for tourist attractions, so it would be better to stay here if you are travel-ling by car. All in all, i would certainly recommend this stay for all rao’s trippers.
