The Shillong Bed and Breakfast | Room & Caretaker

Cafe Shillong is a homely and cozy homestay with friendly staff and great service. We had a lovely time staying in the luxury cottage which is spacious and has ample amenities.

Beautiful, cozy, neat & clean stay. Staff is helpful, specially Deepali. Deepali took good care of my family and our need. Not much breakfast options but limited food options are good & tasty. The best stay of Shillong.

the property was good, but the staff was unsupportive

The place is very nice and very clean. They have maintained the property very well. Also the host and care taker are polite and responsive. They only serve breakfast and rest you can order through swinggy or zomato but they will help yoh with utensils and cleaning.

So, let me start with the caretaker. When we reached, It was morning time and he seemed he was hungover. Thankfully I was not alone. Secondly, the food was below average. Plus they put so much salt in the chhole sabzi. And most importantly, the flush of the toilet wasn't working. So overall, I did not have a good experience there.

The property is not well maintained. Bare minimum facilities are available that to on demand. No intercom connection in rooms. Lots of insects and smell in cottage area. Breakfast is of average quality. Service staff is cooperative

Property lack basic amenities like back up electricity. Make my trip should verify hotels before listing in its platform. Make sure to travel with a charging lamp when you travel with kids. Hotel staff provide a candle as back up electricity in 21st century. Pathetic

Property is nice and clean.. the rooms are spacious.. we stayed in a luxurious room food .. only breakfast.. there is zomato and swiggy available.. property is well located ...local cabs available for quick travel...toiletries need to improve .. overall good place to stay.. staff very helpful..

It was a nice experience. But unfortunately had no fan, as it gets a bit hot in the month of June/July. The staff over there were so helpful. Really a must visit homestay!
