The Golden Woods Resort

There is No wifi working in Room TV Not working in Room Pools were not properly Electricity Wires are opened & there is risky for children's. Complementary Buffet is also very bad. Not Proper management. drivers Accomodation is also not good. Amenities are also not at par. Restaurants are also running in a hall under the shade, there is no AC in restaurant.

I had planned a 4 day Holi vacation with family and booked two cottages at the resort. We were happy to see the property and the staff also were very cooperative. First two days were good and we were able to relax and enjoy the local sight seeing. However this happiness was short lived as we found that this resort which is owned by a Punjabi family is managed only as per their whims and fancies. Though the resort was full, owner decided to rent the resort to locals for their Holi gathering. The property was taken over by the locals occupying each and every corner. And the all the travelers like us who has booked the resort had to be confined to the room and put with loud music and chaos that ensued. To make it worse, owner had called his friends to the property as well and they highjacked the pool area and were on a drinking binge all day, kept on playing loud music and were using expletives while talking to each other. And the owner was party to this gang all throughout. Although the overall experience was not nice, I would be remis if I do not recognize the staff members for their fantastic attitude and helping nature. They were flexible with the menu and promptly attended to any issues. Specially I would call out Piyush, Vineet, Vandana and Vivek and extend thanks.

Less staff and fully booked- kitchen, house keeping and support staff are fewer than needed. Where the resort was fully booked for all 12 cottages, we felt a lot of inconvenience in terms of delayed service from kitchen and house keeping. You needed to remind them several times. Nothing was proactive, we had to ourselves ask for water bottles daily. There was no clarity about bone wire (chargeable or complementary). Ambiguity in billing- we were charged twice for Parantha than what we ordered. They charged per plate (2 pc) and we ate only in pieces. Later when I got it verified by the kitchen staff, they corrected it finally. You had to be vigilant while making payment, check all itemized lists of the bill. in short, Good location and cottages but under-staffed.

The stay was pleasant, the resort seems to be newly constructed so the rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. The service was prompt but there seems to be staff crunch as this is a new property but they tried to serve customers promptly and satisfactorily given their limited strength. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed playing on swings and watching rabbits. The property is situated among lush greenery so there was a nice surrounding view. The food was good but food options can be expanded. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the property for families.

Great location, beautiful surrounding with cozy stay. Most friendly and helpful staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Food was good and great value for money. I hope to be back for the longer visit in future.
