Ok It was a pleasant stay near to Vishwanath temple. Rooms were clean and newly built during Kumbh. Only thing is there is no room service for food, but you are in a surrounding full of food outlets.

The room and washroom are in good condition. Other Facilities and staff are cooperative and nice, food is not included so don't know about it. Visiting the location is very tough because of proper 360° view is not there. Overall it's good 👍🏽.

The owner is extremely courteous and always available to assist with any queries, which made the entire experience smooth and comfortable. The staff is equally impressive – polite, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. From the moment I checked in until my departure, I felt welcomed and well cared for. The service was efficient, and every request was handled promptly. Their hospitality truly stands out and makes this hotel feel like home away from home. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting

The Good: * Well-Designed Rooms: The room layout and design were aesthetically pleasing. * Convenient Location: Centrally located with easy access to nearby conveniences. The Bad * Poor Service: No staff was available at the counter for either check-in or check-out, causing significant delays. * Unpleasant Odor: The rooms, bathrooms, and even the refrigerator had a strong, bad smell. * Difficult to Reach: Access to the hotel was challenging, requiring a long walk due to festival-related road closures.

Location is very close to Kashi Viswanath temple. Walkable from all main locations of the temple. I didn’t require any transport services (bike, auto, rickshaw) my visits. The property is new with all modern amenities. Safe place. Humble staffs. New to the city. Followed their instructions everything was smooth and very good.

It was a good experience at Shivashray. The property is newly built and sparkling clean. The rooms are comfortable and very neat, with all required amenities. The highlight though is the closeness to the Kashi Vishwanath temple, which is barely 2 mind walk from the hotel and so are the ghats.

Washroom was not clean. It was with a lot of dirt and hairs around. We also complained the staff. As we reached late in the evening, so they said they don’t have any cleaning staff and the room was booked. So no other choice.

Property is new and is in very good condition, from location perspective it's very close to Vishwanath temple gate 4. Manikarnika Ghat and Kaal Bhairav temple is also close with range of 2KMs

During our recent trip to Varanasi, we had the pleasure of staying at Shiv Ashray Hotel, a property that exceeded expectations in terms of hospitality, location, and overall comfort. What truly sets this hotel apart is not just its proximity to the city’s key spiritual and cultural landmarks, but the warmth and attentiveness of the people who run it. Though we had initially booked a suite room, we were informed upon arrival that it was unavailable. However, the owner immediately took the initiative to upgrade us to two deluxe rooms at no extra cost. While a refund was also offered as an option, the courteous and helpful behavior of the staff and the owner made us reconsider — and we’re so glad we did. Staying at Shiv Ashray turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. The hotel is just a short walk from Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Gate 4), placing us right at the spiritual heart of Varanasi. Major attractions and ghats were easily accessible, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the city’s atmosphere without the hassle of long commutes.

Location is quite close to Kashi Vishwanath temple but on a narrower road. Though hotel is new and clean still it lacks many amenities to call it a proper hotel, like no tea, coffee packets, no laundry service, no daily replenish of washroom items like soap, shampoos. Even toothbrush, toothpaste not provided, towels were not changed! Also rooms are not that spacious what appears in photos.

It is very near the Ghat and the main temple in the crowded old city of Kashi, but that’s the essence of the place. You can walk just 5–10 minutes to the Aarti, darshans, and all the important deities. It’s a new hotel with excellent interiors, and getting such a place to stay in that area is very rare. A 5-minute walk will take you to tuk-tuks, and you can get a taxi on the main roads. Just a 5-minute walk inside the street where the hotel is situated, you’ll find at least 15 wholesale silk weavers’ shops selling sarees. The hotel owners and their team gave us a warm greeting and guided us end-to-end. It was a pleasant experience.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff were polite and helpful. Location was convenient, and room service were well-maintained. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend!
