The 12 Monks Hostel | Rooms & Dorms

stay was terrible. there was no water in the washroom. complained multiple times but no response from the 12 monks team. smells like dogs in the lawn. lot of hygiene issue

Its recommended by one of my friend..food ambience all good but need to improve the cleaning in dormitory specially washrooms

The highlight of this place is undoubtedly the evening music events on weekends, featuring live bands that sing spiritedly. The in-house cafe serves good food at reasonable prices. To take the experience to the next level, a bit more attention to cleanliness and proactive measures from the host would have made our stay even better.

I stayed here a total of 7 nights all together over two stays, the hostel itself is very nice with weekend events and a nice location. I had initially recommended it to several others while traveling and brought them business from at least 5 other travelers. I am VERY disappointed to find out that I was lied to last evening and told by the team that Uber for cars doesn’t work in Rishikesh - only taxi to the airport, and that they could arrange. I trusted them after staying so long and built rapport and didn’t even bother to look it up. They charged me 1500 rupees, Uber works and costs less than 500. After being a loyal guest, I just want to say this COMPLETELY put a sour taste in my mouth towards the entire experience and I will no longer recommend or stay here again. This is not how to treat loyal guests and budget travelers.

I booked delux roomtso room is not that good, not worth 2k. Very unhygienic, foul smell was coming from room doesn't have that much amenities and no room service. They don't even pick up call. But cafe it's worth coming. Songs and food all are good. Very good vibe for cafe. Had best experience of cafe but would suggest rooms. Dorms might be good.

not proper clean ..Blanket not clean ...Price ok..they have parking that's gud....overall ok ok average

It was a worth experience staying in 12 monks.Met many good people with positive energy.12 monks have great events through out the time

Hygienic and comfortable as fuck dorms. Cool chill out area except it needs at least two more fans for keeping every one cool. Events like live music and ecstatic dance are sure to keep one entertained and please be advised that the dance may even shake you to awaken and be present. Will keep coming back to this place for sure

The environment is amazing, the property is best and the staff is so amazing and helpful. Especially (Akshay) is the best person who took everything personally and gave us the best guidance. We are going to stay there only in the future and will recommend our friends too. Thank you so much ❤️

This place has a good vibe but service isnt that good. Some people are so rude. Mostly that dadhiwala chotiwala guy. Ac doesnt work. We were swetting like hell in 40degress. AC was on but was not working..

The property doesn’t have friendly host. I booked for one night and got bad experience. They have given wrong location and my car was stuck in wrong street, upon asking the host for help. He denied me saying we can not help you need to find the way i am guiding on phone. Even blankets were not clean, i asked the host for help, his replied was not clear but he changed my room. Most of people are smoking there even outside my room. Even in morning no support for luggage to get down. The host keep giving excuses

The property was beautiful but there was no power back up or water backup there was no water for entire day on saturday and it came only late at night there was no ac in the cafe, the fan could barely work in the heat. No ceiling fan in the dorm, one fan was there mounted on the wall which was of no use for the guests staying in upper dorm though the hosts are sweet but water and electricity is the bare minimum people look for. The drinking water was also not filtered.
