Sohra Plaza Homestay

Nice and clean, specious Room, calm place with natural beauty. I didn't try home stay earlier however experience was really good. Also there is nice food in restaurant there.

This is one hotel to stay if you want to experience the changing weather in Meghalaya. Frequent mood switch in weather makes it really difficult to plan to go out on a long distance trip from hotel but the hotel location is an excellent cover up for that Just stand on any side of the balcony and enjoy the view. Wasn't expecting much in food or other services so not disappointed at all but just some precaution to prevent leakage in rooms during rain would have been good.

One of the excellent decent priced hotels in Shillong. The rooms are spacious and the room service is available. The rooms have beautifully done ceilings. You will need room service since there are not many restaurants available outside the hotel. I tried Matar Paneer, Toor Dal and rice with butter. The taste is very good and prices were also decent. Market is 20 minute away by walk.

I reached Sohra Plaza after a day long trekking at double root bridge. The hotel is at the entrance to Sohra Market and slightly off the highway. Though the place is very small and cheap the rooms are decent and the food is cooked in the hotel and served in home style. It is always better to give time for the food to be cooked like it takes more than an hour for it to be done. There are actually no other near places or shops just a decent place to spend your night.
