Orion Farm Resorts & Club Vagamon

The property is situated approximately 4 km from Vagamon town. Although we had requested an early check-in, the resort staff were unable to accommodate this due to room unavailability. The location itself is picturesque, with a scenic lake view and a tea garden at the center. The lake was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, our experience with the accommodation was highly unsatisfactory. The two rooms we had booked were surrounded by overgrown weeds and grass, creating potential safety concerns, particularly regarding snakes and other insects. Inside, the rooms were poorly maintained — they were infested with ants, several pieces of furniture were broken, the heater was non-functional despite the cold weather, the intercom did not work, and the door could not be secured properly. The service from the resort staff was also disappointing, with responses being both delayed and unhelpful. Despite repeated requests, a room was provided to us only after six hours, and this was done primarily due to the presence of infants and children in our group. Overall, I would not recommend this property for family stays. The standard of service and maintenance falls far short of expectations, especially considering the high cost.

The facility has a large area within a tea estate. A good distance is maintained between the cottages so gives privacy for the visitors .The lake within the estate enhances the ambience..Food is decent.Service and upkeep of rooms and common facilities needs attention

Property is not clean, strain on bedsheet and window curtains, no room service, no proper management, food very floop, wil not recommend anyone, cockroach and flys and in room

Cleanliness is very poor, very old materials . Interior and exterior is bad . Not worth for the money

Clean rooms, all amenities are good. Views from their cliff are stunning. The lake view was so refreshing. Great place.

Property not well managed, poor room service, food quality bad

Stay was actually good. The property has a large area to roam around. The room was also very nice it was like a small villa in the middle of tea plants with a spectacular view of lake and it contain a tv, fridge, kettle, oven etc. The villas are separate and situated in distance between which gives privacy. The food was tasty but it costed around 500 per person for single meal. And we had slight difficulty in finding the property location because it has no name boards on the outside. Overall the stay was was good.

Don't expect much as in provided pictures. Amount is too high and room facility's are not great. Within the resort connecting routes are pathetic

Room stay was good. But service relating to cleaning was not proper. Prompt response not received regarding the same. As far as complementary break fast is concerned, resort has not informed on the non availability of kitchen which is under renovation. Only after booking, the same was informed when contacted. Thanks that they arranged breakfast which was included in booking from outside. We had to go outside for noon food and lunch every time. Scenic beauty was awesome. No proper maintenance being done.

*ambiance* - excellent tea estate stay, close to the road, nice accessibility, rooms- spacious but not properly cleaned, lots of insects in the room given first, had even experienced lech bite, fan in bed room was not properly working, electrition came and said it can't be set right, next day they gave a better room which was new, one two bed room was good, *food* -very limited, they charged 450 for dinner buffet but not worth, lemon rice was served for dinner, ice cream was mixed with fruits and made a past melted and said as fruit salad, after a big quarrel they brought ice cream, complementary breakfast was just two items we had poori and dosa, and not enough members to assist. Next day they said due to less occupancy breakfast is only puttu, we spoke with the manager and atlast got the refund. So kindly go for outside food. Service -very average as there are not much mam power just 3 people around a receptionist, housekeeper and helper, basic things like dental kit, saving kit are not provided, *activities* nil, they dint even call for campfire, they had speakers but no music, guest involving activities are zero. *over-all* - can go for location and ambiance, and not worth for other things.

The poor experience began since the time we arrived and the hotelier denied check-in. He finally gave us a room saying it was a backup room which he claimed was an 'upgraded room' and we had to take it as was our only option as we had no other place to go. The room was pathetic, stinking, in one corner of the property with no external lights. Internally the bathroom walls, doors had fungus, blanket had a stink. When we complained about this, they told us to take a half refund and check out from the property. needs to learn hospitality and be humble with his guests and then be allowed to be a manager.

The location was very nice. There are lot of land in the property. There is a big lake in the centre. The stay was in a single cottage and u have the absolute privacy. Felt great

The ambient and the place where the resort is situated is really nice. But the stay was average and not upto the expectations and cost we have spend. No proper exhaust. Even the smell of drainage was coming inside the bedroom. Food also was very disappointing.

Thanks orion team - nice and pleasant stay, thanks jessy and arun who was the cordinator at reception. There were small inconvenience - like bed spread was little torned, hot water was not there in one bathroom, tv was not working. But the ambience, the silence & beauty, hospitality by staff & especially arun, jessy just overcome those issues - thank you orion team for helping to have a memorable stay.

climate is ok but not what we expected. property is not much greener as earlier. feeling dry in day time. owners should focus on planting more trees and land scaping in the resort area. no room service for foods causing difficult to inmates staying in top cliff.

Excellent location. Mind blowing sceneries.

We booked lake side cottage. Stay was good. Food was good though room service is available at request only. Farm view and walk was soothing. Staffs were supporting and helpful. Felt a little overpriced resort as they provide no outdoor activities campfire is available. On average pleasant stay.
