Misty Mons Home Stay & Cafe, Lava

Pathetic hospitality, no hygiene, also the owner moved us to a different hotel owned by him known as chinnti since it was over booked. It is not what it looks. Big no to anyone planning to stay here. Not good at all

We didn't stay at the property coz the building was under construction and was not completed. There was no parking facility in the original property

Pros: 1. Location is best, less than 100m from the main gate of lava monastery. 2. Staff is very friendly and hospitable. 3. Food is just like home made food, kid friendly and freshly made and served. 4. Quadruple room is spacious and very bright. Cons: 1. Only 1 towel given for each room. Since we had more people, we had to request for extra towels. 2. Water in the basin taps was flowing like a trickle. Other taps were fine. 3. Water was accumulating on the bathroom floor as the drain was not cleaned properly. 4. Both the tvs in our two rooms were not working as the subscriptions were not recharged. When you have kids in the group, some times a tv is a requirement. 5. The curtains on the windows are very transparent, and the adjacent hotel has a free view inside the room. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Even though the cons are more, just the location, food and the hospitality of the staff trumps everything else.

The only plus point is good food. The stay was definitely not worth the money. The bed squeaked with the slightest movement and calling the mattress hard is an understatement. When asked why the television is not working some weak excuse was provided that homestays are not allowed to have televisions in the rooms by local authorities. The toilet seat was broken and the geyser took ages to heat up the water.
