Memoir Homestay | Rooms & Cafe

The single bed room is very small, but good enough for a solo travellers basic needs. For 500 Rupies? Ok. The room is not isolated well, so it can get a bit chilly in the night and other party travellers (which you will find a lot in Kasol) might disturb you with loud noises or music. Moreover, as the room is located right above the entrance area of the property and the stairs to the other rooms are right next to the windows next to the bed in the room, privacy comes a bit short – also due to slightly transparent curtains. There is a mouse running around in the room eating your food in case it is not secured properly. 😉 The common washroom outside is nice, it is spaceous and hot water is working.

Had a truly wonderful stay. The property is in a peaceful yet convenient location, very close to the market. The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The food was exceptionally delicious which were just perfect. Kishore ji is a humble, kind, and patient person whose genuine hospitality made the stay feel like home. The service was excellent, and everything about this place felt warm and welcoming. With affordable rates and great value for money, I’d highly recommend this property to anyone visiting.

It was not as we expected it was so bad.

Good facilities. -0. 5 less as bathroom soap could be better. The security guard helped us clean the car so kudos to them doing such good work everyday. They truly deserve a raise in tips given. 9. 5/10

Had a good stay in wooden private room. Food could be better but overall it was fun vibe. Room was good mattress was amazing. Room lighting needs upgrade.

This place has a cool, laid-back vibe that’s a bit different from the norm, and that’s exactly its charm. It’s a magnet for folks who aren’t tied to the usual 9 to 5 grind—people who are real and natural. It’s a great pick for anyone traveling on their own. The food’s decent, but there’s definitely some room for it to step up its game.

Floor were damaged and creaking. Very cramped and the blankets were stinking. Thank god i booked a private restroom, common toilet was messy. No health faucet provided. Very difficult to reach this hotel from the town.

The stay and ambience was awesome. At first i thought that the stay would be in middle of the town, but for our luck, even though we had to climb a little, the view and rooms are very nice. Services provided was also very great. I would definitely suggest memoir homestay.

10 minutes walk from road. No parking i have to park my vehicle at some old nala under d tree. The rooms are not livable. Thousands of years old small con-jested room, old smelly blankets. The private room is just terrible. With an attached store room. It's the most dirty homestay on the face of the earth. They din not even care when they were told about the dirtyness & lowest hygiene. One of the care taker was constantly on phone unwilling to help or tell the guest about property timings n all. Finally i could not bear the dirtyness and i changed my stay to some real river side camps. I won't go at memoir ever. Worst experience.

It's a funny place, very difficult to find and the rooms are like rabbit hollo. Probably that's what make the place interesting.
