MAQAM VILLA | AN ABODE IN THE PARADISE

Stayed at Maqam for a few days and absolutely loved it. Nestled away from the city's chaos, it offers a serene, scenic escape that’s perfect for unwinding. Excellent hosting by mr. Tarik, the general manager, and his associates at maqam villa. The homemade food was delicious, and our family stay was fantastic. The villa is spacious, impeccably maintained, and a must-visit destination. The beautiful interior, charming antique pieces, cozy bonfire, and lovely gardens with apples and various vegetables created a truly inviting atmosphere. The environment was family-friendly, and we felt completely at home.

The property for a family stay was very good, and we had a wonderful time. The food was home cooked and simple light meals which the children loved. The view and rooms were good. However, the breakfast can have more options, as well as the electricity is a bit problem there, though the backup is well managed. Also, the staff was very courteous and good and they were helpful. All the staff cooperated and assisted well wherever we require. They were friendly with kids too. Overall, the trip was wonderful with the homestay we had at maqam.

This is a hidden gem of a place. Tariq the gm and fazil the chef are simply amazing along with the entire team - zamir, sahbaz and farooq are just great. They will always make you feel special

It is a bful property and the highlight is mr tarika the manager who makes our stay so lovely and amazing. I think this is the property you shud be staying for your entire trip in srinagar

Pros: + large rooms and bathrooms with 24/7 hot water + very comfortable mattress and beds + simple customisable breakfast + 2 portable heaters available per room + co-operative staff - shabaz, faheem, farukh, tariq + value for money (room + breakfast) + in the countryside surrounded by mustard fields + quiet and peaceful compared to noisy hotels of srinagar especially around dal lake. No traffic in this area. Cons: - 30 mins drive from dal lake. Little away from srinagar. - ask tariq or any other mgr to send drop pin for the location as google maps location was not correct

We had stay for two days room is very good. Interior is good. Bathroom hot water system is well maintained. Safe palace for stay with family though it is outside of srinagar. Food is good. Room service good. Outside garden is also well maintained. Overall nice stay.

Beautiful property little far from dal and center. Takes half hour extra to reach pahalgam and gulmarg. Entire staff was very warm and welcoming specially mr. Tariq. Food was good but limited options. Rooms were big. Heating was good. Hot water available all time. It’s big kashmiri home. They made sure to make guests feel like home and comfortable. Will recommend to experience.

The location of the property is a little outside. But if you are looking for a peaceful environment full of lush green private lawn and lots of birds chirping then this is what you are looking for. Lawn have a dedicated space for bonfire. They have traditional kashmiri dining area, and a music room. We were given the best room in the property, which is directly open to the lawn. Meal was very tasty and all the service were satisfactory. Do try the special kashmiri khawa. The only downside i felt was the frequent power outage. Although they have proper generator backup. But with prolonged outage it becomes difficult sometimes. I will recommend you to book breakfast and at least either lunch or dinner when you book it. If you are not planning to go out every day.

We stayed there for a night. It was a wonderful experience and the people were nice warm and welcoming. Only issue we faced was with the electricity. It was going off frequently. Food is another plus.

It was our 1st time to Kashmir and it was our 1st resort at Kashmir to stay in well loved the interior so very much it has all the colours of being in Kashmir manager was so friendly and nice he guided us about everything to see in Kashmir staff were 24*7 available with very friendly gestures it was pleasant stay if happens to visit again I would prefer this one again😊

I booked maqam for my last day of stay in kashmir. The property description promised it would be ideal to spend some time on the premise and that was exactly what we planned. The property is way out of the city, the rooms are huge and gardens beautifully maintained. The care taker and the manager welcomed us when we reached late in the evening. There were no confirmation calls about our arrival times so they had all day to effectively prepare our room for check in. The room had two portable heaters that they had kept on for us, which was nice. But the bathroom was extremely untidy and had a dirty floor. We had an extra bed that was arranged but the duvet that was given smelled of cigerettes! we decided to have dinner at the property which was prepared on time. The wi-fi wasn't working and one of us had to wfh, which the manager promised to get fixed in a few minutes but it never happened. Our breakfast was included in the plan which we had requested to be served at 9am. The caretaker was sleeping till 9am and started preparing after we woke him up. The location is on the outskirts of srinagar, the property is huge and rooms and bathroom also lavishly made. The management can be more professional. A confirmation call, a clean toilet, fresh sheets and blankets, timely delivery to commitments would have made this a better experience.

Very comfortable stay. Mr. Tarique is a very humble property manager and extremely helpful. He helped a lot in preparing customised food for our toddler. Sahil is a very good caretaker and very helpful. The room sizes are awesome and cleanliness is perfect. There is a huge well maintained garden to enjoy your morning coffee. Excellent place to stay and very luxurious. Friendly staff. It's quite far from the main city and the roads are not good to get to the resort.

It’s a very nice place to stay at. Surrounded by mountains to one side and paddy fields to other. Apple orchards to one side. Special mention to the manager. Very caring

Without doubt one of the favorite homestays i stayed during my time in kashmir ! upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager. The staff (specially abrar) was extremely friendly, the kitchen is very flexible (appreciate this) and the head chef deserves a special thanks. We had three great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. Note, this property is in outskirts of srinagar but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here, a true sample of excellent hospitality!
