Hotel Lava Monastery

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. It is in middle of a steep rise from Monastery and taxi syndicate. Don't expect a luxury stay or a big hotel. Food is good. Manager behavior is nice but he is very business minded. You will not get any city like shop Around. But the scenic beauty is wonderful. Roads are very bad. A last word of caution don't believe anyone regarding arranging car or vehicle if you want to go Kalimpong or Lolegaon and Rishop. It's best ourself go and talk in syndicate.

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. Tourists are able to go to places only because services are available in such places. And to make services available a market is created for commerce to run, otherwise neither hotels nor cars would have been available. Our place is a serene place with less shops and this makes it a better hotel away from the hustle and bustle. All tourist places are very professional in providing services. Please do come in again and give us the opportunity to treat you specially.

Good and enjoyable stay

The Lava Monastery Bandb is a great hotel to stay at Lava. The view from the inside is great and you are immediately struck by the beautiful, mountains and the Lava Monastery from the lounge and the rooms. Light and airy, and very spacious very welcoming. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. The food was amazing. The location of the hotel is great right in the middle of most attractions, which are within walking distance. The room we had was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to visitors. Thank you Lava Monastery Bandb for making our stay so special. We will come back.

Excellent stay with good food and service

Our stay was great as the hotel is very near to the Lava Monastery and the room had view of the Monastery and the mountains. The food was good and homely. The room was clean and tidy with good facilities like geyser, large windows, bedside table and tv. Toilet was sparkling clean with sufficient water. Hot water was available in the toilet itself. It is a nice hotel and also very reasonably priced.

Poor Stay

Except for the name, the rest of the facilities found very poor. There are lots of issues. Noisy ambience/entry stair very narrow & can't possible to reach along with luggage/Very long hour load shedding i.e max. 8 - 10 hrs. in a day/ No hot water availability. The toiletries are not given during staying/dirty pillow cover/ no service personnel to take care/ No food availability during staying/Need to make arranged from outside hotel. Hence, overall it's a bitter experience & not comfortable staying.
