Hotel Damji's

When I went to hotel they said only non AC room is available while I booked AC room. Then I agreed to check in even in non AC room then they said I have to pay booking price even though I had already paid to make my trip but they said they only allot room on payment first basis. So I waited for 2 hours and they didn't let me in. After that after lot of talk MMT customer service alloted me alternate property to check in.

Good location. No internet.
No internet service for four day.

The staff of hotel is not co-operative. The staff is mostly interested in when we will be leaving the hotel. Very low treatment. I did not get the reason behind this.

Hotel Damij is ideally located, very close to Income Tax office, near Gujarat Vidyapeth and 5 minutes walk from RBI. Malls, food courts and shopping complexes are not very far. Apart from that very prompt room service, food quality is good and reasonably charged. Moreover all hotel employees are polite and well mannered. However, needs little improvement in hotel maintenance.

Stay was pleasant overall. The services were satisfactory. Most likely I will stay in the same hotel on my next trip.

The hotel was very convenient from location perspective. Thought the condition of the hotel is not much encouraging, but I must say that the staff was very helpful and courteous. The room service too was very prompt. I like all Gujarati meals especially "shakar se meetha" - all foods were good.

Monsoon season is the worst time to stay in this hotel. There were lot of flies inside the room and the hotel's ceiling in the hall way leaked when it rained. The hotel was not connected and hence had to walk some distance to get internet services.

Hotel is nice and the staff is very friendly. But not worth Rs.1000 or more per day.

DAMJI is place where I regularly stay whenever I go Ahmedabad. Its wonderful service and food is excellent within budget.

Smell was awful. We asked for early check-in, but still expected staff to be welcoming us. They had sleepy eyes, no proper uniform. They just got up and attended us without brushing their teeth. They asked for PAN card for getting it photocopied and said they will return it in the afternoon, which was not acceptable, if they are getting it photocopied in the afternoon. They should ask for the card then, when the shop opens for photocopy, and not keep the card un-necessarily for long time.

Bad services.

Hotel is very bad on cleanliness of bed and bathroom.

The hotel offers value for money. In such a minimum tariff, I think it is a good deal. Okay for a single male who wants to spend a day or two, but if you go with your kids, they might not be very pleased!

Hotel is ok, but rooms are small enough.

Hotel Damji's is an old hotel, rooms are damp and cold, no sunlight, paint was old. Bed sheet and pillow covers were very old. Food was horrible.

Old hotel, just painted, not increased the standards for the money. Hotel is also not satisfactory.

Room condition was not good. Items were there but were but bad in looks, unmaintained, not matching. Room colour was dull, cracks in the walls, electric board was dangerous (it was open). Utility water supply was not 24 hours. Room service was good, billing/ payment was not proper, nobody knew whatÂ’s what.

No clean sheets,no decent restaurant (not even 1 nearby). Room was dirty,so was washroom. Certainly I will not stay in my next visit.

Room as such, was not bad but there was no changing of bed sheets for entire three days I stayed there. So, it is probably my fault. TV remote was not working properly. Toilet flush was in a broken condition. I did not ask for any fixing up of things because I had to return only in the evening and was too tired to complain and did not bother about these things much, but certainly I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
