The property is very far from the Mall Road it is near Raj Bhavan. The room provided is very small, the view is simply very ordinary and all the facilities provided does not work properly.

Stayed for 2 days and very disappointed. Booked an Executive Room and was shocked at how tiny it was — barely any space to open a suitcase on the floor. No basic amenities like moisturizer, glasses, tooth kit, or full mirror. I had to pay ₹700/day extra to upgrade to a Super Deluxe Room, which was just slightly better. The hotel promotes itself as a heritage property, but it’s just an old, poorly maintained house. Rooms don’t match the photos. Drawers don’t close properly, no blackout curtains, towels are worn out, windows are broken, and there’s zero soundproofing — you hear everything from the road and reception. Breakfast was one of the biggest letdowns. There's no buffet — they ask you at night to choose from 2–3 basic options, which are served in your room only. I had early plans both mornings, and despite knowing this, they didn’t make any effort to serve or arrange something — even though breakfast was included. Because of their rigid kitchen timings (after 8:30 AM), I never got the chance to eat what I paid for. The hotel is not directly accessible by car — you have to walk 100 meters uphill with your luggage, and no staff was there to help. At checkout, I was given a handwritten cash memo for the room upgrade, not a proper receipt, and only got one after insisting — highly unprofessional. Paid day (with upgrade), but the stay isn’t worth even ₹1000. Totally avoidable — poor service, misleading presentation, and zero hospitality.

My stay at Highlander's Inn was a comfortable one. It's location is not even 5 minutes walking distance from the Mall. Besides, the hotel is just beside one of the three view points behind the Mahakal temple from where you can soothe your eyes by witnessing the mighty Kanchanjunga. The facilities in the room we booked were standard and same mentioned in the property portal. We opted for complementary breakfast and the food was average. The staff were cordial. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel . Thank you MakeMyTrip for making our 2 days stay at Darjeeling comfortable.

The 2-night stay was a nightmare for me and my family. We were given a corner room without a view, even though we had booked one with a mountain view. The bathroom tap was leaking, the soap dispenser was broken, and the blankets were unwashed as they smelled bad. The manager and receptionist refused to provide an electric blanket, which was supposed to be included in the package, claiming they would charge extra for it. The manager lady and the receptionist has no sense of hospitality and were not accommodative at all. Overall, we were highly dissatisfied with the stay and service.

Rooms charge are very expensive to faccilities. Foods taste are very poor. No hygiene bathroom are very dirty.

Service wasnt that good and food was ordered by another restaurant. But managers were good, really helped alot.

After booking property owner ask me to cancel the booking. When i told her about no refund on cancellation she arrange me another hotel which is not same standard.
