This property offers a refreshing escape into nature, with clean tents and a peaceful environment away from city noise. Guests appreciate the delicious, homely food and the warm hospitality from the owner, Mr. Paras, who leads memorable treks and bird-watching experiences. Enjoy cozy bonfires and engaging activities like cricket. Perfect for nature lovers looking to unwind!
It was good experience. Nice guys.
It was nice stay there. Good vegetarian & non vegetarian foods. Complimentry breakfast was very good. Away from pollution air as well as noice. Healthy morning tracking up to a natural water ways. Thanks for all.
Good stay
Was a bit difficult to find location, there was a thunderstorm couple of days back hence all tent and carpet were smelly wet, no alternate arrangements received, though owner Mr. Paras was very helpful, gone along for tracking and bird watching, good food, overall good stay.
Perfect
Amazing, beautiful experience with this place. Tents were perfect and quite clean in spite of it's establishment in a forest area. The staff were very involving and approachable. Food was amazing, music bonfire adds a sweet to the overall stay.
Great place to relax
It's a camp having 8 tents. Location is about 20-25 km before Nainital. Surrounding is peaceful and pollution and noise free. Owner of the property is humble and kind enough to assist. Only thing I missed the basic amenities in the tents provided. No TV, dressing table or mirror, almira etc. In the Swiss tents. No bedsheets change or cleaning in my three nights stay. Buffet breakfast is limited to 2-3 items. Overall don't expect hotel type facilities. But it's a great place to relax.
Fun with friends
Overall a decent stay, could have been great had the services at the camp were proper. Only plus is the location, away from the hustle of the city life, quite, calm and relaxing. Self service is a big downside along with the quality of food which was below average. The activities are just for mere show off, you are all by on own if you want to go for a tracking or other activities.
Overall different experience in nature
Though a little far from Nainital the experience during stay was nice. A different experience of staying in camps. Quiet nature and courteous staff. If you go in a group you enjoy more. The owner is an excellent guy and going trekking with him in mornings is unforgettable. This young man is a gem of a Guy and has come up with a very innovative idea. It's a place for people who can enjoy with nature in basic amenities. My suggestion Apart from hustle and bustle of Nainital one could relax here with friends for two days.
Peaceful, quiet and close with nature
Our experience with the hotel is quite good. Though we feel the food is quite expensive, not very tasty and the service is quite sloppy but the staff is very helpful and cooperative. Also the Safari walk with Tarun and the owner Mr. Paras is very thrilling, exciting and wonderful.
Located peacefully, quiet and calm place
Room is quiet okay, food is expensive and not very tasty, service is sloppy. The camp is located in Jeolikote which is about 17 km from Kathgodam station and Nainital. Staff is very helpful and cooperative. Nature walk with Tarun and Paras is very wonderful.
Perfect for Rejuvenation
The camp is in the midst of a think tree cover. There's a spacious backyard which is silent and calm, and leads to a water stream downhill. Excellent service and food too. A must visit for those who want to rejuvenate and be away from the noises of the city. Please note this camp is NOT IN Nainital. It is in Jeolikot which lies in Haldwani - Nainital highway. Nainital is about 20 KMs from the camp, which can be easily reached by public transport.
I never stay in this
I saw leapord in my camp. Very dengerous place. Don't go in future in this camp. My contact number is 9212629691. Owner behave very bad. Place very dangerous. When I cal makemy trip there was no response for our help.
Cost effective and value of money
Camp sparrow is close to nature and very good place to relax. The adventure walk is the most exciting part. The food was good and economical. It is very peaceful as it is far from city. Neonatal is around 16 Kms away. The camp at the night is very satisfying.
Nature has its own music.
Positives: nice place. Good food. No loudspeaker / Bluetooth music allowed. Listening to birds chirping was awesome. Lovely evening ambience with beautiful lights, soft music and a bonfire. Nice morning trek hosted by the owner - a sharp, young, adventure loving lad. Opportunities: days are very warm. A cooler - or an active swimming pool would help. Tents were nice but a little better cleanliness would help (not sure if it's easy to dry clean those). However, not an issue if you are open for a rugged experience - which is what it's meant to be.
Good place to relax.
Camp sparrow is a good place to relax with family and friends. Its a peaceful place with facilities like volley ball, cricket, football grounds ... Camp is clean and well maintained. Best part of my stay was the personal bon fire at night with friends.
A peaceful camp close to nature
Camp sparrow is situated in a quaint location. The property has very basic facilities, but it's very clean and well maintained. The owner Paras as well as the caretakers take genuine care of the guests. The food is homely and delicious. The owner, Paras, took us on an early morning bird watching hike. He is very knowledgeable in this field and was patient with novices like us. The place has play grounds and a volleyball court. It has a good campfire set up too. It will be definitely a good place to go with a group of friends.
Live music performance on new year eve
Live music performance on new year evening. Nice Ambience. Staff was supporting and cooperative. All the arrangements were very planned and good. Got value for money and had a great experience.
Love it ...
A very nice camp I just love it, only finding the camp is takes some time but you feel good after reaching their, they have many activities their that you can enjoy. Staff are also good you feel relaxed their, you also enjoy the nature their. If you guys fedup of the regular hotel rooms and want to have some adventure just try it.
Excellent location & good food
This place is undoubtedly the best nature camp I have stayed in. Excellent location, courteous staff, good food and best possible facilities for a nature camp makes this place a must stay if you are a nature lover. Away from the hustle and bustle of Nainital, this place is located 15km south of Nainital amidst the jungle of Jeolikote. The owner Mr Paras is a qualified tourism management professional and is a multifaceted individual who was an amazing host as well as guide during our entire stay. Living in a Swiss tent was a unique experience for all of us. They have separate smoking and drinking zones as well with eco friendly ash trays which one will absolutely admire. They have a small cricket ground, a volleyball court, and an activities arena within the huge compound of the camp. Also, they will take you to early morning and night treks into the interior of the jungle (for which you must have good trekking shoes). The support staff deserve a special mention for their behaviour, service and hospitality. Complimentary breakfast was very tasty and filling. Butter chicken during lunch was lip smacking. Bonfire arrangement was made as many times we requested for and all this within their room tariff which was moderate and worth each penny. I can't remember when was the last time I had such an enjoyable stay in the lap of mother nature. A big thumbs up to Mr Paras for such an endeavour. Hope to visit you again soon. PS. They have two adorable pugs and a St. Bernard... So if you are a dog lover, they add to your fun!
Solo trip and the best trip
The place is love!! It was my solo trip but what I learnt is a place as such doesn't need a large group to enjoy with.. NATURE and solitude is the best companion there.. Go and find yourself!! Many surprises awaits you there as soon as you start exploring!!
