Brown Dipper House by Humming Woods

The place is scenic and the property is very nice, just next to Tirthan river. However, roads in the area are in very very bad conditions making travel extremely difficult. I had to forgo one day out if the two, as I could not go around due to bad road conditions. The owner caretaker of the property Mr Naresh is helpful, smart and social. The food served superb.

Location is excellent,just across the river Tirthan. Good food , clean room and bathroom. Owner and staff are very helpful. Room heater is chargeable. But for elderly people with limited mobility and knee problem the property isn’t suitable

stay was very comfortable, everybody was cooperative and helpful. Food was excellent in taste , available options for every meal covered large variety and each meal was very tasty. location is good view from balcony is awesome. parking was very comfortable

We had an excellent stay here with a group of 9, the rooms are decorated so nicely and the location is just awesome. We are also tasted the food here amazing

Overall hospitality is good. Location is excellent. But approach from main road to property needs to be better. Recommending a proper constructed approach road.

It is a very nice location, close to river stream, the host is good, food was nice, they also have plum gardens of their own and they offered us some plums. Rooms were clean, there is a bridge that we have to cross to reach the stay, they sent help to pick up the luggage and guide us.

No electricity back up was there. Even they didn’t provided atleast candles money is taken by them without electricity backup

Stay in hotel brown dipper was very comfortable, the room was very clean and having all the facilities. The property manager, sh. Naresh is a very gentle guy and takes care of the guests very well. Location of the hotel is superb & very close to the tirthan river. Last but not the least, the quality of food and the way they serve is really worth mentioning. Thanks for making my trip memorable.

The room was very clean and the washroom was big and clean. They had provided everything that one expects in the amount that he or she pays. Very ambient location and good river side view. Overall, it was worth everything.

The view from the home stay is beautiful. Evenings and mornings beside the river is unmatched feeling which is 50 mts downstairs. The hospitality at the home stay is great with naresh and his family being great hosts. The food here is delicious with special mention to the chef kamlesh for tasty veg and non-veg food. Great for couple stays. A place to visit again and again. Such serene and peaceful and soulful ambience. Arrangements for cab, fishing and trekking all available at this place. New additions to the place being constructed like cafe, view points, bonfire section, gaming section all will make this a must visit if you are at teerthan valley.

My wife and i were looking for a peaceful and uncrowded place near to nature for our short vacation this summer, and we zeroed in on tirthan valley, himachal. But, as we all know, a major part of the experience of a place also comes from the homestay or hotel we decide to spend those days at. We went through many homestays near banjar, goshaini and nagni that fitted our budget and really liked the riverside location and views of brown dipper house by humming woods at nagni. We booked it on mm t with complimentary breakfast and dinner. We were a little anxious as to whether it would be the same as shown in pictures or not. But when we reached our homestay (after a 13 hour journey from new delhi, it was nothing short of a picturesque location just by the river and mountains in the backdrop, with only few houses and homestays nearby. Our host aditya gave us the corner room on the upper floor which was spacious with glass windows to savor the view of the river and mountains. The sound of the flowing river below, and chirping birds in the woods kept us company throughout our stay. The food was prepared fresh and was hygienic and tasty. We had aloo and gobi paranthas, trout fish curry, rajma, kadi chawal, b fresh tawa rotis, and sandwiches. Special mention to the refreshing masala chai prepared by the cook there. Host aditya was friendly and informative, who guided us well about different places to visit. During our stay there we went trekking towards the great himalayan national park ~4 km uphill, spent time on the riverside, visited the few cafes nearby, and went to jibhi waterfalls on the last day. The permanent residents there are also warm and welcoming. There were no loud parties in the premises or nearby which has sadly become a routine in places near parvathi valley. Overall, it was a very memorable experience for both of us. I would happily recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend some time in the midst of nature, far away from our cities and towns.

We booked the delux family room with a beautiful view of the hills and the tirthan stream. With great authentic pahadi style food, very clean facilities and good wifi and the stream a one minute walk away, the property offers a great deal to those seeking peace, quiet and a good time with nature, while being connected to the modern world. The chicken homestyle curry and dal are amazing and a must try for foodies (cooked by kamlesh), and the hosts ankit and aditya were very helpful in guiding us about local trails and how best to enjoy the place. As a female traveller, i felt safe in the serene environment. Definitely a must try!
