About Alaska Airlines
Alaska Air Group, Inc., is the holding company for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, Seattle-based carriers that collectively serve 92 destinations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Alaska Airlines is known for its excellent customer service. Alaska Air Group was organized as a Delaware corporation in 1985. Horizon Air is Alaska Airlines' sister carrier and are both subsidiaries of Alaska Air Group. Alaska also holds a substantial codeshare of both American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Alaska Airlines does not fly directly to India.

The airline took delivery of 10 737-800s in 2009. The airline also has firm commitments for 15 aircraft and options for 40 in 2010 and beyond.
