Mesmerizing 360 degree view from the cottages! Wonderful surrounding music! Excellent home cooked food! Worth of money! Owner Mrs. Pradhan & her son Karan's hospitality was beyond expectations! Dreamhouse! The room was very beautiful. Kanchenjunga could be seen clearly from the room. The windows were huge and had a great view of the mountains. It was clean and the food was excellent, just like it is prepared at home. There is no room service. The hotel has a beautiful nursery too.

Sitting in the room I can enjoy the view of Kanchenjungha and River Teesta flowing beneath. There are so many nurseries in the resort. Property is very well maintained and staff behaviour is very polite. Ideal for a trip where you want to destress yourself.
I was here with my wife and my six years old daughter, for two nights during our one week trip to Gangtok-Kalimpong-Darjeeling. The stay was more than what we expected in a small town like Kalimpong. The staff and the owner were so very helpful and full of hospitality. It would not be fair enough, if I compare this with a five star hotel. Mrs. Pradhan has taken care of the smallest details, so well that it would not have been possible for any commercial housekeeping. Her personal care, the food, the cleanliness all were more than enough to fall in love with.
Very thoughtfully, the dinners were served inside the dining hall and the breakfast in the garden. The food was so tasty that we ate twice our usual diet here. Yes, in the entire week long trip, the best stay, the best food, service and Mrs. Pradhan in person was our everlasting memory. We will never forget the days spent here.

I visited the place as a family vacation. Kalimpong was a known place to me. But the experience this time had changed my overall view. With the calm, lively and homely feeling in Hotel "Wind songs"literally it speaks through winds. Actually it is not a hotel that we generally think about. It is a large heritage bungalow with two cottages.. With a total greenery owned by the family. The mentor of this place is highly cultured an highly educated but down to the earth. She gave us own space with all type of accommodations. She cooked food herself. They showed us his collections of rare plants. Actually she and her family own a large Green House in a huge slant land on the mountain step by step. And the view was above all expectations. Though it was winter time. In spring or rainy season. I just can imagine it. How it would be. The Delo peak and whole Sikkim mountain with Teesta river is visible from there. And the rooms can compete with any 5 star accommodate. So in a word it don't need any review. You can't bond it with stars. If you can get there that will be beyond your imaginations.

We stayed last in the Windsongs Cottage on Feb 2014 as a couple. The stay was fabulous. We stayed in the cottage which had its own garden and a sitting space from where you can enjoy nature. On a clear easy, you can see Teesta flowing down in a far distance and if lucky you could also get to admire snowcapped Kanchenjunga range. Breakfast was complimentary and was served in the sitting area and the owner is very nice and takes care of all the needs. Location wise, its as bit far from the main town but you do get taxis. Overall the experience was excellent.

It was a great decision indeed to spend a night at Kalimpong, on our return from Gangtok. We would have missed the absolutely wonderful hospitality and comfort of this Home Stay. Windsongs is located such that it offers a breathtaking view of the valley, right from the comfort of room, as well as the garden. We felt sorry for not being able to spend more time at this location and we have promised ourselves to come back and stay here for a longer duration next year - and we will book the cottage next time, Mr. Pradhan. Thank you for making our stay such memorable!
