The Fort Nalagarh

a small fort full of charm with all the basics in order for a comfortable stay.Good dinner and breakfast buffets.Well worth a short overnight visit.

Reasonable value for money hotel resort. It is a heritage site managed by a small team run by Mr Sumit Singh , GM. Rooms are clean, furnishings reasonably ok- not the best . Breakfast spread is ok, dinner is decent, menu tarriffs reasonable. Staff is good, helpful. Only negative- some of the accessories in rooms not working- we had booked 5 rooms- tv not working in one, ac in another- needs focus on maintenance.

The staff is good. People at the reception are nice but the condition of the rooms is not good. A lot of improvements need to be made. The money was not recovered.

I enjoyed here. It is excellent property with pool, badminton court, snooker, bar and park. Food was really really good. I had awesome time with family.

Neat and clean rooms. Attentive staff lot of stairs. No lift. Or ramps. Difficult for physically challenged.

The fort has excellent views of the valley and quaint construction. There are jharokas, terraces and courtyards to sit out. It needs renovation. Staff is very courteous and food is excellent

Deliberately smaller and no view rooms are allotted to mm t bookings. Rest food and hospitality was average

A lovely heritage property on first look but ruined by poor upkeep and service levels across the board. Cleanliness is a huge issue. Phones don't work, room service is terribly delayed, food comes in without cutlery. Not senior citizen friendly as you need to climb stairs for getting just about anywhere (we knew it, though)

Beautiful old place but very badly maintained seems like no one is spending money on maintenance. Everything is shabby and not very clean. Staff is excellent and do everything with a smile. Food is very decent.

Good property but needs to upgrade with bedsheets and mattress complusory buffet for lunch and dinner which is really not good and doesnot have good options

The hotel is completely misusing the heritage property tag. There is nothing heritage about it, except that it is an old and dirty property. You go to any old house in indian village, you will get the same feeling. Other than the outer wall which looks like an old fort wall, there is absolutely nothing inside. There are odd shaped rooms and in some cases the bathroom is bigger than the room itself. The owners have not bothered to change the broken and stained tiles. The pot in a sulabh shauchalay is more cleaner than the pots in the bathroom. The food is disgusting. They will tell you a different menu for buffet but they will serve something else. No safety checks, no covid protocol is followed. I did not see a single sanitizer in either the reception area, room or any other common area. We had booking for 5 rooms so i had pretty much seen the entire property, but despite making payment we did not stay and left the property within few hours because this hotel was lower than the lowest standards. Don't waste your hard earned money on this property ever, better to stay in a dharamsala than here.

Good stay. Beautiful place. Ambience can be enhanced by changing old upholstery and carpets.
