Not for winter or families

The property is located little inside tanmarg with no shops or other businesses near by. There were to people taking care of the property, both of them were very nice and helpful. The property is not good choice for stay in winter because of lack of proper heating facilities and power cut. There are not much food options available as well. You can get what one of the 2 staffs can cook at that time. Cleanliness and maintenance is not super great but manageable.

However, we would like to address some of the concerns you raised to ensure an accurate representation of our property. Our location is intentionally away from the hustle and bustle of the city, offering a peaceful retreat for those looking to unwind amidst nature. Many of our guests choose to stay with us for this very reason and appreciate the tranquility we provide. Regarding the heating and power outage issue, we do have a fully functional backup generator and inverter to ensure essential power supply during outages. Unfortunately, during your stay, the entire Tangmarg region faced a major electrical grid failure due to heavy snowfall, resulting in a 48-hour power cut. Despite this, we still managed to provide inverter backup for basic heating appliances. Additionally, our heating arrangements include electric blowers, electric blankets, and a traditional wood bukhari (fireplace, which have been appreciated by many guests. As for food options, our menu consists of over 80 dishes covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We make every effort to accommodate guest preferences, and it is unfortunate that you did not find the variety to your satisfaction. We encourage all guests to review the menu before placing their orders. Cleanliness and maintenance are a top priority for us, and our staff ensures that rooms are properly cleaned and maintained after every checkout. While we seldom receive complaints in this regard, we acknowledge that human error is always a possibility. We kindly request future guests to notify us immediately if they encounter any issues so we can resolve them promptly. We always strive to provide the best experience for our guests, and while we respect personal opinions, we also want to ensure that feedback is fair and reflective of the efforts we put into maintaining our property.

This property is value for money. Dr saab is an excellent host. Food is good and freshly prepared. Also this place offers privacy. Guests can play music and have a good time along with boon fire. Bon fire price is also very reasonable. Caretaker there is always ready to help also with making arrangements for sight seeing.

It's one of the most beautiful places i have ever stayed at. It's a bit away from the main city, but close to tangmarg market. It's only convenient to travel if you have your own vehicle otherwise you will end up stranded. That being said, we loved our room cum cottage. It was clean and beautiful and very very spacious and well maintained and had great facilities for a budget stay. It overcompensated us. The main caretaker imtiaz bhai is a rock star! he is an all rounder. He took such such great care of us, going out of his way to look after us. He even gave us lavender saplings from nearby garden. Little azam is also a very sweet boy, he too took good care of us and provided us good service. The owner, mehreenji was in touch with us to make sure we are safe and comfortable. I will surely revisit serene stay and recommend to all those especially the ones who want a slightly isolated and beautiful place to stay in their trip. Surrounded in solitude and utter beauty and gardens around. Food was available 24/7 with the help of the doctor's restaurant within the premises. They even gave a room for our driver to stay at night. We are very grateful. Thank you so much.

It was on of my best stays away from home, serene stay is indeed in midst of a serene valley, the room was well equipped with a bukhari (traditional heater) a room heater and heated blankets, the washrooms were neat and tidy with a huge geyser, the food and hospitality was top notch with imtiyaz bhai and azam taking good care of us, and the food was delicious local cusine ! loved our stay here !
