solothere were riots in udaipur on the day I landed and the staff insisted it's safe to venture out alone. Also one hotel staff member just unlocked the room with the master key n entered the room.

I ended up in udaipur when the tension was brewing and roads and markets were closed. The hotel staff was still insisting it's safe to venture out. They should advise visitors about staying indoors when it's unsafe. Call a spade a spade when it's matter of guest safety
