NEORA VALLEY RETREAT

Perfect, Peaceful, Paradise One of those places which make you fall in love with mountain and the people all over again. Everything about the property and service was perfect and also the owner is a generous man. Grateful to him and his family for this wonderful stay and hospitality.

Lack of minimum amenities. Room for three had only one towel and one soap. No other toiletries. No cleaning and change of linen in three nights stay. No kettle or arrangement for tea in room. The only good thing were the staffs. Overpriced and therefore NOT RECOMMENDED.

The property is situated in the hill forest.. The cottages are placed a bit segregated. Its good for a group but not suggestes for a single couple. Lighting is a issue. And Food service is pre-order based. So its a bit on the slower side. Facilities of bonfire and barbeque is offered with charges.

Location is excellent to view sunrise. Staff is very co-operative but approach road to hotel room was NOT Good. There was power cut and heavy rain at night, so naturally I had to face lot of challenges. Emergency light was there. Food at dinner was oily. But I enjoyed watching sun rise at morning from the Lawn as I changed the room. Left hotel before breakfast. Evening was a surprise but morning was full with pleasure and excitement.

It was a wonderful stay but there is problem with supply of hot water at room. Food charges are bit high.

The location of the home stay is awesome. You will get direct view of kanchenjunga if the sky is clear. Food served here was amazing. Overall very happy with the service and the experience of staying here. Definitely will return here.

Stay was comfortable and the view was beautiful. One suggestion they should provide electric flask in room so that one can get hot water as required

The overall experience was very poor. I will list down the pros and cons: pros- the only pro is the view that can be seen from this property. Cons - (i) the approach road is in a very poor state and quite challenging unless you are traveling in an suv. We were in a hatchback, and since it was raining, it was quite risky to drive on the steep incline. We called them up and the resort staff suggested that we park the vehicle and they would send staff to carry the luggage and escort us to the property. It took them half an hour to send someone while we were only 200 m away ! ( ii) the cottage that was given to us had water seeping up through the floor and we had to request an extra doormat to prevent the floor getting wet (iii) we were provided only 1 towel ( 2 adults and 1 child) and were told that towels had not arrived from laundry, when we requested. (iv) food is quite expensive when considering the portions and no extra portions are available. Everything must be pre-ordered. (v) no help available after checkout to carry the luggage till the car ( which was parked at a distance) owing to the poor road condition.

Had an excellent stay in neora valley retreat, it is a mini paradise in rishop. The location of the resort is amid lush greenery and nature where you can enjoy trees, flowers and chirping of birds. The view of the mountains from the resort is breathtaking, on clear day you can visualize the kanchenjunga range sipping tea from the balcony of the cottage. The wooden cottages are beautiful, well maintained and quite spacious. The washrooms are cleaned with all basic amenities. They do house keeping and room servicing every day. The staffs and owners are quite polite and friendly. The food is very tasty and the food options are satisfactory. The cottages are aesthetically designed and the resort is spread across a vast area where you can take morning and afternoon walk. The place is also recommended bird photographers, there are lot of birding hotspots around. Will visit again this paradise with family in near future

Such a lovely time we spent there. All the staff were always ready to help with a sweet smile. Thank you. Whenever we go to Rishyap, we will stay there.

The place is beautiful but is not for everyone. If you are traveling in a group better avoid it. You will be scattered all around with 100m treks between cottages. You will never know if your water taps will work. You will get hot water but it's not round the clock. If you can keep these issues aside, you will love this. It's pristine.

The location of the property is very good. We stayed in a single cottage (gurus. From one of the windows we saw sunrise and from the other we saw the kanchenjunga peak. The behaviour of the staff was very good. The road to the property is in a bad shape. Difficult for small cars to enter. The property is very big, water shortage is an issue all over rishap. As this property is surrounded by trees, insects are very common. Food orders are to be given in advance.

Our stay at neora valley retreat was excellent. The cottage was at the hilltop and the whole horizon was visible from the cottage. The service was also praiseworthy. The behavior of the staff of the retreat was decent. The food was good.

I loved the cottages. Very quaint and quiet place. Staff was very polite. Food was awesome. Location is very scenic.

Our stay at neora valley retreat was amazing.The place is just perfect ,surrounded with trees and a beautiful view..the owners are really friendly and cooperative..the food was great..rooms were very clean.the best part is all the cottages have privacy..they are situated a lil far from one another if you want to spend a weekend away from the hustle bustle with frens and family then this is the place.

1. Location was good. 2. We visited during new year eve. 3. The off road travel by car to the property was nice. 4. Staff behavior was excellent. 5. Food was also homely and good in taste. I liked the roasted pork prepared by them in evening snacks. But barbebue chicken was average. 6. We enjoyed the evening camp fire. Now about some of handicaps i found in the property. 1. There was no room heater but the owner was generous to provide electric bed warmer. 2. No electric kettle was provided for warm drinking water and had to drink ice cold water for 2 days. 3. My single cottage (the one with a swing) didnot receive sunlight due to the position of the cottage. I guess the other single cottage received sunlight. 4. We wanted to have late dinner during new year eve but the same was not allowed at the property as they serve dinner last by 10 pm - 10:30 pm and dont allow the dinner to be taken inside the room. But this is not a big problem as its better to get in bed early due to severe cold during my visit.

Excellent place. More space, beautiful place, every point having scenic view. Food and owners having very good behavior.

It’s a heavenly abode in terms of location, and scenic beauty. The owner and staffs are extremely courteous and helpful and will try to provide you as much hospitality as possible in those terrains. However keep in mind it’s an extremely remote location and comes with certain limitations. Firstly, the road leading up to the hotel (around 200-250mtrs) is very steep and not in good condition, it’s basically off roading. Secondly, the amenities are very basic owing to the remote location and lastly the food options are a bit limited. But overall if you go with the right mindset you’ll enjoy a lot, like we did and if luck is in your favour you’ll witness a breathtaking view of the mighty kanchenjunga right at your doorstep, apart from the panoramic view of the beautiful neora valley

The stay was very comfortable. Everyone was very hospitable and the food was excellent. Excellent kanchonjonga view.
