Not big Space and cleaning not good

I visited there with my wife for one day, atmosphere was so good, i feel peace in place, service is so good and food is so awesome, price is also cheap, room is good for couple, next time is i go to matheran i will definetly stay there in balaji niwas, thank you 😊

Place is very awesome. it's very peaceful environment. owner also very supportive. Service must be very good. I definitely recommend to stay and spend precious movements with partner

Room was just ok for family. Bed is very hard. They didnt provide toilet soap. However the behaviour of owner is good. They will prepare homely food on demand. Food was nice. Dont expect a hotel room. Its an additional room created next to owners house

The rooms allocated were located in a remote place. The contact guy was making excuses when we asked for location of the place. There was no water in one of the rooms the next morning and when we called the caretaker, they asked us to use the outside washroom. With the same prices, we could have gotten better place to stay there with internet connectivity included.

Their behaviour was so touching. I could spend a peaceful night there.

Tin roof makes room very hot. Terrible experience

The room was affordable and clean. Also it was very near to a viewpoint (myra point. Since, it is not marked in google maps, you may have to call and ask the property owner for actual location. Not luxurious, but good enough to rest there, while visiting the hill station.

The care-taking lady is friendly, they provide breakfast lunch dinner veg and non veg; their cooking is simple yet extremely tasty. Rooms are average, the good part is they have a peaceful view point with a swing which people can enjoy. Great place for bargain value

Good stay and owner has been helping and polite

the rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. they went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. i highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting matheran

The stay at balaji niwas was overall very good. What comes first as a match winner was the dinner cooked by the host. It was just yummy. It was extremely delicious. The rooms were not as small as some of the ratings mentioned. The cot was decent. The attached bathroom could have been better with western facility in todays time and also adequate ventilation. The host was a nice person and helpful. It was a good experience. The distance to the mall road wasnt much. I would recommend this for any shorts stays.

This homestay is located near the myra point(just 2 mins away. It is extremely hygienic with cleanliness kept to the standard of one's home. The food was also very tasty. Nothing fancy though you don't need that here. People were very friendly and helpful. The best part is if you start your matheran trek by catching the sunrise and follow it towards the west, you get to walk a downward slope almost all the way through. Which we did because we stayed here.

May be room is little small and at very corner but view from window is amazing you can see myra point. Food served was delicious and fresh.

Room was clean, hospitality satisfactory, but bed was not proper and fan was not working properly. Needs maintanence.

If you want to visit matheran in budget but with good experience. Stay at home stay. You will get some local culture experience also.

Host was humble nature and very cooperative. They also provide homemade veg-nonveg food in reasonable price. Room was good for two people for one night. Jio network in room is average.

Best service is provided by them
