Location was amazing, found through a reference. All rooms are river facing, having great view. Food was super, more of home like… service was excellent. Staff was cooperative. It was excellent stay. Location was super and staff was supportive. Food was great too.

Lovely stay

Very nicely located place overseeing the tawa reservoir backwaters, gateway to the Madhai entrance of Satpura tiger reserve. Facilities were a little dated but decent enough for a comfortable family stay. Considering it is almost in the forest, we had to rely on the resort for food. It was tasty and homely. Staff were very courteous and went beyond to help out. The manager Mr Bhushan (I think) was very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was well maintained as well.

Property has a total of 12 rooms all rooms are facing the backwaters of tawa dam madhai gate of satpura tiger reserve is 50 meters from the property you can board the speed boat from the entry gate property has badminton and carrom for in house recreation 3 meals are a part of the package, food quality is good highly recommended top property in this area

familyThe resort is operated by mp t a gov of mp undertaking. Mp t had several resorts in tourist areas of the state and they range from budget to high end. Bison is in the mid range, with tariff inclusive of all meals. As with all gov owned results, bison has the best location overlooking the huge tawa madhai reservoir. The views of the reservoir from the rooms are stupendous. The mid sized rooms are appropriate to the range, well appointed and furnished. There's a refrigerator and room heater too. There's a lovely balcony with each. Sleep quality is very good. The meals served on the house have a wide variety, fresh and tasty. There are 3 to 4 veg main dishes in each meal in addition to 2 non veg. The staff is very helpful, timely and appropriate in service. Tum service is good too. Outstanding value fir money! ps the safari bookings and entry gate are contiguous. So related activities are a breeze. Plus the resort can help with available bookings

family with 2 kidsWe stayed at MPT Bison for 2 nights and the stay was very comfortable, end of October 2024. A 2.5 hour drive from Bhopal, most of it 4 lane highway with construction in between. The last 45 minutes is through small towns and villages Location: Easily the best with most scenic views. It is right on the banks of Tawa Reservoir and post monsoon the view was mesmerizing. The safari start point is basically the entrance of the property. (you need to take a boat across the reservoir and that where the safari starts. The boat ticketing and boarding point in the entrance of the property) Vehicle Parking: Easily available as they don’t have too many rooms so parking is not an issue. It is right outside the entrance but completely safe & secure. Rooms: Small in size but bed – comfortable for 2 adults and 1 child. Clean linen and washroom. 24 hours’ hot water. Each room has its own balcony/ porch with a view of the reservoir and jungle across. The colors at sunrise and sunset are totally worth it. Food: Fresh, simple and good. However, it was a bit oily for our taste. One night they arranged an MP traditional dinner outside and it was fantastic. Highly recommend their बेर soup. Don’t expect a lot of variety and delectable taste but good simple food. Staff & Service: Staff is courteous and service good for a jungle resort. They addressed all our concerns. In fact, we went without booking any safari’s online (a must do), they made sure we got to do a night safari (buffer zone), morning boat safari (core zone) and afternoon jeep safari (core zone). Amenities: They have a very limited area but well used. Space to exercise in the morning with outdoor exercise equipment available. Though not a lot of space to walk. A plunge pool which was clean though we dint get a chance to use it.
