Monomita Residency(Monomita Hotels)

Food was very expensive and the taste was terrible. Never experienced such horrible service. Rooms were clean and well ventilated. Foods were disgusting. They clearly looted us in dining, cause we had no other option for fooding. They provided luke warm water for drinking, which was very impressive until we came to know that they were using the geyser water for us.

The stay is decent. Not to expect much but overall experience good. Travel-led as a family. Location of the property is easily accessible.

We had a good stay at monomita residency. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and hygienic. Food was good too. Room service was attended to instantly. The view from the hotel in early morning was amazing. Overall it was a pretty good stay.

Basic amenities since you cannot expect much in a place like lachen. Staff could be more approachable and hospitable.

Never ever go for this hotel bcz of electricity. There is no electricity at all in the hotel in my stay and when i complained hotel manager and no positive response hotel. It was too cold and no electricity so no room heater at all. So choose wisely.

Lachen is a gateway to north sikkim where tourists camp and visit places around. What one needs is a cozy and hospitable stay, especially in winters when the weather is chilly. Monomita residency is a perfect combination of coziness and hospitality. Sukumar is the all rounder at monomita who cooks some lip-smacking food. Do remember to order your choice of food in advance as they have to make arrangements as they have to purchase things from a nearby town. Sukumar’s morning tea needs a special mention and to top it up, the tea is ready before the day breaks. Do carry enough warm wear as room heaters and electric blankets are banned in lachen by the local authorities.

Don't expect much from the hotels at lachen. It's a clumsy neighborhood. So all the hotels are small. The staff is responsive and punctual. Hot water available all the time. Food is average.

No power backup. Since there was no power backup, we had to get ready using our mobile flashlights, food is below average pathetic experience!

Our booking got upgraded to bayul inn which was very good.

Location is good with really nice views of the himalayas. The rooms were clean, peaceful for a quick night stop before heading towards gurudongmar lake. Food cooked by the staff was good. Hot water was not available during our stay.

Very good room and very good service. Specially a very good service by Sukumar das. Dinner was also very tasty. Totally Worth it.

Room spacious, posh and span and spin, only problem water spreading in the room and no other room option was there, good service, good staff but only one to two person staff, good for family and friends can say whether it's suitable for business.

Friendly staff they were suggesting about the restaurant near by,easily relocatable, room was not spacious but i liked the interior of the room it has wooden furnish which was suitable for the the location and the weather. It is suitable for solo traveler not for couple or business trip, only negative point was there was no one in the reception, have to call if you need anything thing,got toiletries and towel,will definitely recommend other.

The hotel and room are very clean, cozy and good to stay during the cold nov night. The owner is courteous to extend our stay for one more night, even though ours was a last minute request. Definitely a must stay place and highly recommended.
