Hyde Park Hotel

The service was terrible and had a very unpleasant experience. But the food was tasty and of good quality

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hyde Park. I was given a windowless room - which by the way should be mentioned as part of the booking process up front. I'm not looking for french windows, even if there's a tiny one that lets some light in, it's fine. Additionally there's one master light which means if you turn it off at night, there's absolutely no light in the room whatsoever since there's no window either. So it feels like you're sleeping in a coffin especially if you're claustrophobic like I am. I repeatedly asked for a small night light and they never sent it up to the room at all. If you don't have it, let me know instead of promising it and not delivering. The floor also looked like it hadn't been swept. The bathroom however was super clean and the shower had good water pressure - the only plus honestly. Did not have any food there so cannot speak to it. Overall, for 4k+ a night, this was not worth it. It feels like more effort has been put into the lobby than the actual rooms. There are far better options competitively priced.
