Hotel The Royal Buddha

Room was good but tv not working, no complimentary water bottle. Extra charges for packed water. Small blanket, not enough for a tall guy. Rest all was okay. Location is good.

The main thing i would like to understand is, what is the difference between a normal ac room and an ac delux room. In the images available, there are sofa, kettle & an intercom available. But the reality is just opposite. Sharing images for your reference. Also, they gave me a room on 2nd floor that too without an elevator and making the booking well in advance. There room service is not up to the mark, i didn't like it a bit. Ordered tea around 5 - 5:15 pm and after calling them thrice and going downstairs twice they sent the tea after an hour. Got a call from the manager, they have shifted me to another room which doesn't have an extra bed, instead i have been provided with an extra mattress. Hotel folks gave few expired milk powder sachets and tea sachets to make tea from expired items. If this is a ac delux room, then i must say i have been cheated. Worst experience, wouldn't recommend anyone to book this hotel. Already sent an email regarding the same to the corporate desk along with the images.

Very bad stay

The stay wasn't good. The rooms were very small and the bed sheet was dirty with no intercom to contact reception, wash rooms were not clean and hygienic. Overall i will not suggest going there again.

We stood in that hotel just because of mr. Vishal singh the manager of the hotel. His hospitality was very good, but the other things were not that much great.

I booked two deluxe AC rooms both of them had nothing in the tea station. I had to ask for it. There was a weird smell in the rooms. They did not change the bed cover or pillow cover. I found gulal on the bed. It was Holi couple of days ago. The windows was covered cover with dirt, table had oil marks, walls had some kind of dripping and shoe marks on it. To top off my disgust, a rat appeared into the room. It freaked me out. The food quality was very poor. Daal was under cooked. Menu pricing was outrageous. The kitchen and the front desk staff need to get better training to better serve international customers. The location is very poor and they do not provide free shuttle to the city. This hotel doesn't accept international credit card.

We stayed at The Hotel for two nights. They provided smooth early check in. Hotel is good. Room is ok. Room service is very good. Staffs are well mannered. Location is interior but they will drop you to The nearest location. Road to The railway Station and Airport is very good. Food is ok and The charge is high. They arranged for our trip to Rajgir which was enjoyable. Only The cab charge for pick up and drop to The railway Station was very high.

Food are good but there are no variety, no cafe service.

The Hotel Royal Buddha is quite ideally located in Bodhgaya. Though it's not exactly on the Patna Gaya highway, it's just about a hundred metres from it. As such it's very much insulated from the vehicular noise of the highway. If you love calm and serene atmosphere, this is the best place you can get in Gaya. It's location gives easy access to Gaya airport and Gaya railway station. The hotel is new but its staff along with the MD himself are quite cooperative. Room service is prompt though there is just one intercom number for reception, laundry and all sorts of room service. The hotel restaurant wasn't operational by the time we were there. But whatever food we ordered was promptly delivered at the room. The food is of good quality as they don't reuse the same oil and it is tasty too. I had gone there for my parents' pindaan. To my surprise, the hotel MD arranged for every thing from pandit to visit to river Falgu to materials required at dirt cheap price. I would mention the location again. It's perfect to access Vishnupad temple and Sitakund without having to face the mad traffic of city of Gaya. Parking is free here though it's congested. Overall, Hotel Royal Buddha is a good place if you're looking for a budget hotel with high standards of service.

We eight members of our family had gone to perform Pind dan of my parents and Pitars. Stay was pleasant. Reception and services were satisfactory. Some shortcomings in the field of quality of food and insufficient waiters and thereby delayed services were noticed which can be improved. Shortage of parking space and own boundary wall are eye-catching. I felt that since it is beginning, so a lot of scope for improvement is there. The owners are young and energetic so they can do it.
