Location of property is excellent, we had booked couple room and it had awesome view, nothing less than if compared to Switzerland . Room was large, clean. There are no restaurants around this place hence you have to take food from resort .Food was excellent as we had opted for breakfast and one meal . Staff is very courteous

I highly recommend guests try this place. Pros : Excellent hospitality, great views with clean rooms and very homely food. Cons : The property is about 40 mins away from Mahabaleshwar. However, it’s a beautiful drive and very good roads.

The location of the hotel is awesome 😎. You can see the sahyadri mountain and Koyna river right from the balcony. Hospitality is also very good. Food was delicious 😋. The caretaker was a boy who was very kind and my child just became friends with him in a couple of days. Overall it was a Very Good experience.

Great place to stay, humble host and staff, slightly difficult to reach but blown away with the views. Food is delicious. Nice place to stay and play for kids.

Location is very good, valley view, sunrise and sunset view, property is on the main road on Mahabaleshwar to Satara, Koyana lake is very near and can also visit kas pathar using jetty, enjoy rides

The moment you step in, you are enveloped by the peacefulness of nature. It’s a perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life. The architecture and design of the resort seamlessly blend with the natural surroundings, giving it a rustic yet comfortable feel. Accommodation: The cottages are spacious and designed with a rustic, earthy charm, while still offering all modern amenities. My room had a balcony that overlooked the lake—a perfect spot for early morning coffee or watching the sunset. The interiors were clean and simple, with wooden furnishings adding to the eco-friendly vibe. The staff had ensured the rooms were spotless, and the bed was quite comfortable. Food: The resort offers a great selection of local Maharashtrian cuisine, along with some North Indian dishes. The food is prepared fresh, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite. For those who enjoy eating by the water, there’s a lovely outdoor dining area with a view of the lake or sky you have both options. Activities: One of the highlights of the near resort is its access to water-based activities on the near by lake. We tried boating, which were relaxing and fun experiences. For those who enjoy trekking, which provide breathtaking views of the Sahyadri mountain range. Service: The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. They catered to every request with a smile and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, and they were more than happy to help us with local sightseeing recommendations. Final Verdict: GVAT resort in Tapola is an ideal retreat for nature lovers and those looking for a peaceful, off-the-grid vacation. With its serene surroundings, comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and an array of activities, it’s a great place to relax and recharge. I highly recommend it for families, couples, or even solo travelers looking for a tranquil escape. A few minor areas of improvement could be better Wi-Fi connectivity (though, to be fair, the disconnect from the digital world was quite refreshing!) and some more recreational options for children. However, these are small in comparison to the overall experience.

The place is alright. The view is great but please be extra sure that you are not travel-ling to tapola in the rainy season because the nature is bit wild

This property is bit pricy and maintenance is not proper cleanliness is very poor. There was no toilet paper at all and bed sheets were dirty. Location is wrong leads to another resort. Fan was not functioning properly. The only good part is location and view from the resort.

The property is for you, if you are travel-ling in a group or two or three families travel-ling toghether as it’s far from central mahabaleshwar and commuting to and fro can be an issue due to road construction work going on. And you can treat as a homestay rather than hotel, so you won’t be disappointing for you. And staff is quite friendly(kudos to them) and you can enjoy homely food with an breath taking views from the property.

Property is good for people looking for a offbeat place to stay where only motivation to stay here is nature and views. The road to reach this place is under construction and full of mud. For food you have to rely on them only as there are no restaurants available in that area. Their food is okayish but not that great. Overall, would not suggest this place as its not value for money at this price.

Good place and humble host but a bit far off from main mahabaleshwar

The property is a beautiful place to stay, the view is breathtaking from the property. Being at the edge of the mountain you see the nature in its full glory, the mountains, the river flowing below, the forest and the blue sky with the small white cloud patches. It really does look like paradise. You cannot ask for a better place to relax. The food is simple and there is hardly any variety but it's delicious. The location currently might seem to be a little isolated but the journey to the place is picturesque and worth. Must visit for the awesome location of the hotel and just soaking in the beauty of mother nature sitting at the back lawn and overseeing the mountains and river.

The property was very good, also the service and behavior of the staff was excellent, the view from the property was very good.

Accessing the property proved to be challenging as a result of the poor road condition. Furthermore, the upper rooms lacked network connectivity and wifi, which was quite inconvenient. Regrettably, the property did not live up to its value as the overall experience was subpar. The breakfast options were limited, offering only a few choices. On a positive note, the staff members were commendable in their service.

Definitely the location of the property is scenic. There are limited rooms so no rush and very calm. I stayed on 1st floor room with balcony which had full view of valley. I was with my family. Food is tasty and served in lawn preferably, you may order in room too. Very good for kids as they enjoy garden play rides. Lot of space to move around like walk. Special mention about service, limited staff but very much attentive. The owner himself is always on the move to attend guests ( rarely saw be-hing cash counter. For a peaceful stay must go place.
