Place was amazing to stay. Very friendly staffs especially the guy in reception-very polite. We had a room in the first floor with view of swimming pool which was nice and comfortable with all facilities. Lady in the reception gave a home tour explaining the importance and tradition of the community and place. The village walk also gave an insight on the history and culture of chettinad. Only negative is that the food is very expensive, you pay almost half the cost of your stay but not worth it. No other Chidambara Vilas, Chettinad - A Luxury Heritage Resort Hotel, Karaikudis nearby so you will not have an option to eat elsewhere. They charge you similar to a buffet in a 5 star Chidambara Vilas, Chettinad - A Luxury Heritage Resort Hotel, Karaikudi in chennai but don’t have any varieties.

We stayed at chidambara vilas for one night (unfortunately couldn't get more days there, and we loved the experience. The property is beautiful and the surrounding village is a quiet walk into a beautiful past. The staff is very caring and professional, and the food is delicious with many local dishes. The staff makes it a point to show you unique chettinad dishes that are being served in the buffet, which i find to be a very nice gesture. The Chidambara Vilas, Chettinad - A Luxury Heritage Resort Hotel, Karaikudi also organises local tours/walks and cooking classes to participate in. My only request is to look into the beds as they're very creaky. More ventilation in the bathrooms will also be nice

Ms priya made our check in a memorable one. Overall the experience is more of a home and less of a Chidambara Vilas, Chettinad - A Luxury Heritage Resort Hotel, Karaikudi-the courtyard, dining area and interiors are well maintained. Rooms and linen were clean. Pool is well maintained. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is vast with variety options. I would suggest a 2 night stay to experience it in full.

It was nothing to scoff at. From village tours to cooking demos it had it all. It embraces you verdantly as you walk past its walls adorned with intricate embellishments. The Chidambara Vilas, Chettinad - A Luxury Heritage Resort Hotel, Karaikudi shined in all aspects, be it walkability, the pool or the food. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I would write an essay about the hospitality if i could. It was amplified by mr. Thangaraj and ms. Priya, who were very sociable, allowing us to get immersed in the beautiful palace that is chidambara vilas

Our stay at Chidambara Vilas Mansion was truly exceptional! The mansion's architecture and ambiance perfectly captured the essence of Chettinad's rich heritage. The authentic Chettinad food was a highlight, with delicious and flavorful dishes that showcased the region's culinary expertise. The amenities were well-maintained, and the staff were warm and welcoming. What struck us most was the attention to detail in preserving the traditional Chettinad style, making us feel like we were experiencing the real deal.

Chidambara violas is a beautiful and huge chettinad mansion. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and neat. Bathroom was clean and had a bath tub. Breakfast spread was good and they served authentic chettinad food. They have complimentary villa tour in which you understand a lot about the structure of mansions and the chettiyar life. Pool and indoor games are also available.

The place is well maintained, and they tried to keep the authentic experience of the old chettinad house as much as they can. The hospitality is fantastic. The food tastes really, they have the chettinad dishes with variety, but on the other hand the price is too high, and you don't have much option to go out on eat, as there are no nearby restaurants.

Hospitality, food, and service are excellent. They have guided the sight seeing places very well. Also they have taken care of our kids well.

The property is grand, hospitality is homely and food is delicious. They conduct in-house activities such as cooking demo and property tour which make the stay interesting and unique. The rooms are spacious and designed well. It is a place you would want to return to. All the staff members are worth a special mention

We were there just 4 days back. It's a beautiful property and it's history adds to the experience. The staff was very professional and hospitable. The tour of the property by the general manager is very thorough and an experience in itself. The food is typical chettinad fare. All in all, a very memorable experience.

Exquisite! the restoration of chidambara violas. To stay at a chettiar palace and then the most interesting part was the history narration by senthil, the resort manager. The food was amazing and so was the staff.

Very well maintained. Staff are friendly. Very comfortable stay. We stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed whole property. Only disadvantage was food was overpriced. For 2 water bottles we paid 140 rs. Which was 100 rs more. Apart from this everything was good.
