Wilderness Jungle Camp: An absolutely delightful getaway! The AC tents were surprisingly spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. The food was simple yet delicious, just like a warm, home-cooked meal. What truly made the experience unforgettable was Glen. He was an absolute rockstar of a host — warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. He made us feel like part of his own family, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable at every step. Good Stay
I recently had the pleasure of a solo trip to the wilderness jungle camp, and it was a truly refreshing experience. From the moment i arrived, the warmth and hospitality stood out. I was greeted with a welcome drink, followed by a detailed orientation about the camp, including information on the restrooms, bathrooms, and other facilities. Before my arrival, glen had reached out with essential information and thoughtful details, including asking about my food preferences. His effort to ensure a smooth experience was commendable. Abigail, glen's wife, was equally warm and welcoming. I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to both of them for their hard work in making the stay so memorable. The activities, like practicing basketball and football, added to the fun and relaxation. The location itself is a haven for those seeking peace and self-exploration amid-st the wild. Its proximity to the stunning gaganachukki and barachukki waterfalls made the trip even more worthwhile. Overall, the journey and time spent at wilderness jungle camp were enriching and absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway!

Terrible Stay
No basic facilities. Just a small camp. Looks so cheap to stay at such camp. However price is too much. Food is also terrible. No worth to book such senseless camp.

Thank you for your review. Maybe you should put some facts in place. You booked a camping tent (Dome tent) what do you expect? What facilities are you looking for when you booked a camping tent? You have written this review because you were told that you were sent an email to carry towels for use, would request you to kindly spend sometime to read and check what you book, you booked a camping tent and not a A/C luxury tent. Pricing is way different from both. The pricing for a camping tent per person is 1,250- plus GST. Do you mean to say this is expensive? Camping is an activity in itself, why book camping if you do not know what camping is! We also provide a complimentary continental breakfast, (2 South Indian dishes, pancakes, Cornflakes, eggs to order, 2 types of fruit, juice, bread and preserves. Along with this there is a nature walk in the morning, Joy fishing in the evening. Multiple indoor and outdoor games at the property. Make yourself aware before booking a property. Regarding food you were not forced to take food with us you could have gone out. Menu and what is available is shared with you prior to visiting us and it’s upto you. You are even allowed to carry your own food from out. I don’t know any other property that allows that. This is written in response to just a towel, we don’t provide towels for camping tents and it is very clearly mentioned in our email to you that please carry towels for your use. If you do not read this email then we are not responsible for this. Have yourself acquainted before visiting a property as there maybe certain requirement that you may need to carry along with you. We didn't have an acknowledgement from you. The type of stay option you booked was a camping tent it does not have an attached washroom and it has a common washroom which is maintained clean and hygienic and you get 24/7 hot water. All this is because you were told we cannot provide towels, but we gave you a towel and you cannot acknowledge that.
Amazing Stay
It’s a wonderful place to camp. The Glen couple are the best host I have met in a very very long time . Calm composed and always a YES for any request. The staff are courteous and always ready to lend that extra hand for any demands. The food was the highlight and loved the taste. ( might have to add few more recipes and not be repetitive) One concern was of not having enough restrooms and bathing rooms. Might have worked if separate ones were made available at distance.

We stayed here and the place is really good, this was my second time there. The tent experience was the best part of it. Bathrooms and toilets were clean and neat. They also have a campfire, and many other amenities. The morning walk was really good.

A must visit for bangaloreans
This is a really nice camping site hidden away in a very dense jungle. I had booked a luxury tent, and it was very comfortable with all necessary amenities. The property itself is very beautiful. Make sure to visit the adjacent georgia sunshine village. It belongs to the same family. The service was very good, and the food too was as good as could be expected. A must catch for bangaloreans.

Unexplored nearest getaway from bangalore
Awesome ! this was our first camping experience and i must say we picked the right place for it. Reaching the campsite: this is not far from bangalore, and barely took 3:30hrs with 5 pit-stops at 60kms average speed(yes, i don't race when i am on a vacation. I avoided the express way as i wanted to drive leisurely and took the kanakapura route(watch out for the route through chandahalli-suvs cannot go through the narrow village streets. For small cars, do visit the lake at chandahalli-worth seeing. While continuing in the same route, on the way to malavalli, stop by the chotnalli lake(visit this in the morning while returning/during the stay) look for the wilderness jungle camp sign board on your right side(when coming from malavalli road, which is semi off-road for about 3kms. Alto could easily do it, so no worries. About the campsite: we visited in april, peak summer ! and the tent was a normal one(without ac. This made us explore the area more rather than sitting inside the tent. Temperature inside the tent(cant stay for more than 10mins) would be too hot compared to temperature outside the tent(liveable. I did not get a chance to see the tent with ac from inside, but it does have a rigid structure and does not actually feel like camping in my opinion. Days are either normal/warm or hot but the nights are always cold. Make sure you carry blankets/winter clothes to keep you warm at night. Two bonfire places within the campsite! how was the food? abigail and glen cook awesome-yummy-delicious food. Is this campsite safe for couples? yes. Definitely. What about toilet/washroom/bathroom? spotless-clean toilet/washroom/bathrooms are available at the campsite, adjacent to the play area. Mandatory stuff to carry with you on this campsite. Medicines, mosquito repellant, fishing equipment, camera, power bank, cap/hat, sunglasses, winter clothes needed for cold nights. Feels strange to mention this, but would still mention it anyway - carry some dry snacks/chocolates to munch on the way. Carry and extra pair of clothes if you get into "talakadu(40mins drive from campsite, do visit this place around 4pm-6pm) is it safe to explore the area on our own? within campsite-definitely yes, you can. Outside the campsite, not sure, as we came across few "guard" dogs and they didn't seem to like me. You can still prefer to walk before sunset, should be fine, but at night, it is pitch dark-not suggested. Trail-walk/trek? yes, arranged by the campsite owner mr. Glen. Ask for mr. Colin, to take you on a trail walk. Mr. Babu - he can take you to the dam view point(make sure you carry your camera equipment all the time) places to visit from the campsite. Talakadu - a must visit place. It closes by 6pm, so make sure you reach there to spend sufficient time. Gaganachukki & barachukki waterfalls(visit these places if it has rained) reaching back to bangalore: we took the malavalli - kanakapura road again, but avoided the chandahalli lake as it goes through the actual village(narrow roads) and this place was already covered while reaching the campsite from bangalore. Last pit-stop before entering bangalore, opposite to dayananda sagar kanakapura road-for having seasonal fruits/coconut water/tea-coffee etc rating: 10/10 no wonder why this campsite have more people revisiting, we too plan to visit again !
