Its home stay room. It is at good location, room are very good. Its calm, safe and foods tasty. Hotel staff can arrange your site visit.

Bad experience

I had booking in The Roof hotel at Port Blair. When we reached to check in the hotel told us that they were full, and they had no intimation of our bookings. We were made to stand with our children and luggage on the road for 15 minutes before we entered inside to sit and find out as to what to do next. The internet is very weak, so we could not show them confirmation. We had to call up family and friends to open our MMT IDs and find out booking and payment details. Only after an hour of struggle we could prove to hotel that we had a booking in their hotel. There is no one at the reception and no one around to call for or ask for any services. They have a very poor services, and we were forced to sleep without dinner, water and milk at night even after multiple requests. I have suffered a lot along with two children at their hands. I want to cancel the room. My experience with" The Roof and this kind of irresponsible approach of service providers is horrible.

This is a decent place to stay if you're looking for a budget accommodation. The staffs are friendly. They prepare home type food and food was nice. They can improve on facilities. Example - The TV was not working, AC took too Long for cooling The rooms. Overall it's located in a calm residential area. Very close to market The main market of Port Blair is around 1.5 km. Not very far from Airport.

I stayed here, first its a home stay and overall is very good in fact great. Rooms are neat and clean but they charged me money for WiFi which should be free.
