The Golden Retreat

Hotel location is good but quite old hotel so rooms and virw of tbe room was not that great

Stayed two nights. Golden retreat hotel in Haldia is a highly priced hotel in a small town. It has basic amenities with a large greenery area inside the hotel campus which is good for nature lovers. Room sizes are large with a balcony but an old construction and lack of some hygiene. Breakfast was good with healthy items. Food prices are sky high which is more than a 5 star hotel.

Location and food is good. Have to improve amenities and services as the property requires proper maintenance, but the staffs are good.

Absolutely amazing and pretty place, the staff behavior was very approaching they had good skills of communication, i absolutely had no issues checking in. The room was neat and tidy, smelled good, there was no disturbance faced for the total time i stayed, a quiet place it is i must say. Anyways the shower area is not that good but the washroom is clean and tidy too. Overall i had a great experience would totally recommend it to friends and family if they are going to visit haldia, and i myself would prefer the place too if i visit again.

The stay was quite nice. The complimentary breakfast had a good spread. Rooms were clean and staff was very nice and helpful. The cost is a bit high though. All in all, a good place to stay in haldia.

The place was execuisite, the ambience was good rooms are good too but it needs a little maintenance

Really it is a great experience to stay at hotel the golden retreat. Their hospitality, cleanliness, behaviour of support staffs etc are unique and excellent.

The place is awesome and the decoration of this hotel is so amazing. I am so impressed. The room is clean. You can also enjoy nature's beauty and there is a swimming pool. Thank you.

It’s a nice and spacious property but the interiors needs some renovation water leaks in the bathroom mattresses are way too hard overall staff are very friendly should try the bar while staying

The resort is nice and well maintained. The rooms were spacious but the condition of the restrooms was average - leakage from bathtub, shower issues etc

Hotel is spread over a past area. You check in at 3rd floor at ground level and rooms are on 1st and 2nd floor. Bit confusing. Rooms are big but cleanliness is issue. Not very clean. Bed sheets, towels are also not look clean though washed. Breakfast spread limited but taste wise it was okay. Dinner served in room was also good both quantity and taste wise. Service was good. But at 6500-, bit costly.

Location is great. Just beside the city centre. The place is good with many amenities. Food is good but a bit costly.

Cleanliness of the tiles, upkeep of tv and air conditioner is appreciated. Hot water is essential need and i was told one should inform 30mins in advance if you need hot water. I found it funny. Paying ~6k for night, expect these basic needs to be in place.

The room was good , the food was good, the breakfast was great , the swimming pool needs more maintenance , staff at reception were good, overall my experience was great

This hotel is not maintained properly it requires lots of renovation in the property. Room service is not upto mark. Housekeeping ia not properly maitained.

Near to city centre. Opposite of ausha restaurant. The property is good. Food quality is too good. Allover i love this trip

The golden retreat is a very convenient place to stay. The rooms are good, the staff are polite & courteous. However some things need attention & improvement. the wifi connectivity is very poor in the rooms. We had important meetings but was cut-off due to poor connectivity. A tech staff attended shortly but it did not improve. - the dining hall is located on the ground floor and there is no elevator to reach it. - the washroom inside the room is very small and it takes a long time to dry if the floor becomes wet. - certain dishes on the menu like mutton stew & chicken marylamb need improvement. The stew specifically because it is spicy which it is not supposed to be. Barring this from the staff to the location to other facilities are quite good. Recommended for a weekend getaway!

I have booked the standard room which was a lot dirty and has stained walls and cracked floors. Also the day of arrival i didn't get the breakfast as i reached there on 10. 45 and breakfast timing was upto 10. 30 so i should have got that but i didn't get that. So i won't ever stay there again.

Property is giant. Food and service are great. Though room had countless mosquitoes, staff helped in getting rid if them. Bathroom stinks and has damp. Management requires to pay attention on the maintenance.
