The Garden Bungalow | Rooms in a Villa

One major problem with this booking was that, on the MakeMyTrip app, it showed that it was a room, so I booked two rooms for four people. When I reached theProperty, I saw that each room was actually a suite with two rooms and a bathroom within each suite. Therefore, I had actually booked two suits for four people (because the suits were shown as rooms on the MMT app) which means a total of four rooms, and four king-size beds. We ultimately ended up using only one suit, and the money for the other suit went in vain. It is requested to rectify this thing on the MakeMyTrip app so that other customers don’t waste their money. Other than this issue, the experience was nothing short of fabulous. The property is excellent and very well maintained. Very elegant, to be precise. The food tastes decent and is overpriced, but they allow zomato/swiggy, hence no issues. Overall, 9/10.

The worst service that I got from there… receptionist informed me that if we would have booked directly then they could have given us better rate… didn’t find value for money at all…

Stay was good. Rooms ok but the service is very poor. Only one guy is managing everything. Food is delayed and very much average. Price off the food is very much high. Basics quality high range price. Better to go outside and have food. Environment is good the scenario of the place is so good and peaceful. Service need to improve.

Beautiful, aesthetic and reminds of old times charm. Good food, very helpful caretaker. The host was very supportive and helpful.

We stayed during the christmas time and the stay was great. The food is really homely and sumptuous. The room amenities like bedding etc could be better though. But would recommend everyone to try the stay once

This was my worst experience, they didn't even bothered to provide drinking water, the girl who was there in reception was terribly ill mannered and didn't even spoke in a decent way. She denied that we cannot provide water as there is no bottle. I just cannot describe my experience with this property. The property was indeed good but the owner or receptionist whoever she was was extremely worthless! i will not recommend anyone to visit this place.

This is really a nice place. Couple friendly. Rooms are very clean. Though the options for food are limited still the quality of food is nice. Behavior of the care taker was decent. He was very helpful. If you want to experience the beauty of nature and peace then this is the right destination for you. Don't think twice, go for it.

This was my second visit to this place. As i had a really nice experience during my first visit, i preferred this one as my second visit over any other hotels. However, this time i faced some problems with the booking. It looked like the traveller info is not synced between mm t and the hotel. While contacting the hotel for lunch upon arrival, i was told that no lunch will be available as they did not have my details and they could not contact me as i had booked via mmt. So i had to order using zomato. The hotel staffs are cordial and professional. The property is scenic and serene and very close to sonajhuri haat. Rooms are spacious but not maintained properly.

The room was not worth the money. Had no set up for tea or coffee in the room. Mattresses and pillows were of poor quality. No housekeeping. Utensils are haggard. No toiletaries provided. I would never come back.

the property is beautifully designed for a peaceful stay...staff is supportive but short and inadequately trained for high quality customer satisfaction... gardens are awesome 👍. the rooms are spacious too. the whole place has an old world charm

Property is located at a remote place yet it is reachable from the nearby stations and attractions very easily. Taste of the food is like home but quantity is not quite satisfactory. The whole property is very nice, clean, calm, peaceful which is an attribute of santiniketan itself but in my opinion, the room we received is not that clean or hygienic. Pillow & bed covers are not properly clean and white as we expect. The pillow is dirty and complete yellow. The property has few security guards but the rooms themselves have no lock&key type locking system. I felt this somewhat insecure to stay in a room with no proper locking. There are big glass door and window which is one of the best things of the room but you have to keep the curtain otherwise there will be zero privacy. But the place is worth visiting. You will have one of the best days of your life. Staffs are very nice and well behaved. The sonajhuri haat is just 10minutes walking from the place. The summer evenings will be the best in this bunglow.

The stay was good. The room was well maintained and the premises were clean. Only two people are taking care of all the services. They are very nice and helpful. It would be good if they arrange a few more people so that the services are quicker. We enjoyed our stay. They can arrange toto/e-rickshaw to roam around.

The bungalow is excellent, the ambience of the property, the rooms, the service and behaviour of the staff are excellent.

This serene villa living with old period furnitures&artifacts took me to another era& the landscaped garden is absolutely gorgeous. Staffs are soft-spoken & helpful.

The reception service was not prompt, and the caretaker was not keen on helping us to check in swiftly. The cleanliness of the property was poor. The washrooms were also terribly maintained. We had booked the peppery for 2 nights and paid the full amount. However, after being utterly disappointed with the property after we went in to the reception we decided to not stay there.
