Sparrow Home Stay Madla

The homestay was fantastic! Lakhan and his family are amazing hosts. They are so friendly, welcoming and helpful, we felt like part of the family. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. There is also a lovely rooftop area with a view of the village. They provide a great menu with lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the food was fresh, healthy and very delicious. The house in a quiet street but is very close to the national park entrance. Lakhan was extremely helpful in arranging a tiger safari for us and dropping us off at the gate. The property is also a short walk from the Ken River and a short bus ride to some beautiful waterfalls. Thank you Lakhan!

The hosts were welcoming and warm. But, i was given a room that lacked a proper functional bathroom. It lacked a basin and a water heater. The plumbing too needs a look and repairing. Although the hosts were apologetic about the situation, but from what i gathered, the room i should have got was given to a later booking to a group of four people. Also, i ended up paying as much or even more for this not a guest room, that was within the living quarters of the home owner. The people are nice, but when money is involved, one deserves it worth and not some makeshift place. Thanks. No pics

The stay was quite good an felt homely. Great prices, good amenities, and timely breakfast. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to madla.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience and immerse yourself in an authentic and warm village environment. Mr lakhan and family are great hosts and welcome you into the family with open hearts. We really enjoyed the walks around the village, into the farms nearby, with friendly faces everywhere. The rooms are very comfortable and offer enough privacy for a quite and peaceful time. The place was decorated by the whole family, paintings, artwork etc and looks lovely. For the times that you require interaction, mr lakhan is available with great knowledge on local flora and fauna. He would also org-anise night or day safaris for you without a hassle. His wife mars parvati cooks simple delicious food according to your requirements so you can truly relax and let your body settle after a busy time seeing other parts of this beautiful country. She made herbal tea for us when we were a little under the weather. The food here is also organic and prepared with great care. A family away from home, so have a longer stay here like we did )

We had a good stay at sparrow home stay, madla. The rooms are on the terrace so there is ample light & fresh air. The rooms & toilets are well maintained. The owner mr lakhan & family gave us a traditional welcome & took good care of us. The food was home-made & tasty. The property gets a high rating on warmth & hospitality. Just one point for those planning to stay at sparrow. The location is in the interiors, off the main panna-madla-khajuraho highway. So have your own transport or co-ordinate with owner mr lakhan for all your transportation needs.
