familyWifi does not wifi does not & manager convinces you it does 😂 in his mobile only!! Intercom non-functional - one has to always go and call ppl. Food is not great -edible but below average . Rooms are shady like a 500/- room

soloNot a bad place to stay. How ever the staff isn’t very capable of management. You should expect some difficulties with light and internet. The highlight of my 3 nights stay was food. The rooms really are sub-standard. They’ve struck gold with the location, as a beautiful indus river is right behind and makes the entire place peaceful.

couplePerfect stay amid nature with pleasant views by the indus river. The staffs were very courteous. Food is also decent. A good option to acclimate for initial two days at the start of ladakh trip.

Good but far away from leh

familyResort service is good only veg option. No network no wi-fi this location is far away from leh. Room service is good but they have hidden fees for other amenities. Price on make my trip is higher than nearby resorts

A very serene resort next to river indus

familyWe stayed with the family for two nights. The staff very welcoming and helpful. The resort is situated in an apple resort overlooking river indus. You can walk down and take a dip in the river. They also arrange for river rafting. The food is awesome and they add lot of variety to it. For night photography and star grazing it is also a fantastic place.

Bad experience overall.

I regret booking this place. Was enamored by the pictures and promise of a good stay, but left finally with a bitter taste. This was the only bad decision of my 14 days Kashmir-Ladakh trip.
No electric, no generator (Why you need light?, I was asked). Highly overpriced. Instead travel an hour more and find good accommodation in Leh. This place entices you with good pictures and disappoints you by being a damp squib.

Hi sir, first of all, we are really sorry if your stay at Uley didn't meet your expectations. Second of all, I choose to disagree a bit on the 'no electricity back-up point. We do have full electricity back up and none of our guests ever had complaint on power cut issue. But if that has ever happened we apologize. But your claim about a staff making a remark, 'why you need light? C is something really serious. Could you care to share the name/designation of the staff who said so, I would be the first one to take proper action against this issue, because such an issue is really serious and it never came to my notice. And thirdly, if you remember you were the one who asked for complimentary (free) upgrade to a higher category of room, and when we couldn't provide the rooms because of valid reasons, you started arguing with our staff. And making derogatory remarks and comments on them boasting that you're a regular visitor at club Mahindra and challenging us if we had even heard of club Mahindra. If you had presented the correct picture of the event, that would have been more appropriate. Taking out personal grudges like this is really disgraceful. Our Resort is highly rated and holds a good reputation in the fraternity. And we are very well appreciated by our guests who go back deeply humbled and satisfied by their comfortable stay at Uley and who choose to come back repeatedly over years to stay back at our property. And fortunately, because of the kind of business we are, we attract only guests who are mature travelers, who know how to appreciate and respect the pristine nature and ecology that Leh has to offer, who travel to explore offbeat destinations and splendid cultures Around the world, whose Idea of a perfect vacation is one where they can connect with their inner selves and their loved ones more and above all, who understand and appreciate the concept of sustainable and ecological tourism. And if somebody's Idea of a perfect vacation is a tv, wifi and a location as close to the market as possible, then definitely this place is not for them. Have a great day, sir!
