Baba Guest House

I was struggling to get a hotel in Varanasi, but almost all the star hotels were occupied, due to Maha Khumb. Then I saw some good reviews about Baba Guest House (BGH), but was thinking they might be paid ones. As I had no other good choice, I opted for BGH. Till the time I reached BGH, I was thinking it would be some local hostel types, but once I reached there, my mind blew. BGH was so clean and well maintained, very near to the Ghat, nice cozy beds and very clean bathrooms. The staff were very helpful, including the owner. I surely will recommend this property to all my friends and relatives. The best part, you have a coffee shop on the terrace. We can have good tea, while enjoying the view of Maa Ganga 😉🙏🏻

A very good and memorable experience, very good location only problem of small lane/bye lane and reach the property

Hotel was located far away from main road and we have walked a lot to reach out the hotel by taking guidance of local people. Toilet was very small and we could not bath properly. Only good part was the "rooftop cafe" which provided very healthy food based on indian and international menu.

Stay is good and near to dashasvamedh ghat, all amenities are available nearby and property owner and staff very polite and helpful

Located very near to munshi ghat, just 2 minutes walking. Adha adha cafe on the rooftop is also good.

The location is near to ghat for people who wants stay at dashashmedh ghat only, but if you want to explore other areas other than ghats then it is not favorable as one have to walk a lot to the main area for transport. So if one wants to visit other sights better to stay near girja ghar only. The property host or owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. So do not expect good behavior from owner at all. If u want to stay as guest, take keys, stay in room and can check out by 11 am only then only you can stay at this property.

Located on munshi ghat, just beside brijrama palace, a heritage hotel, baba guest house scores due to its favorable location. Once you climb down the steep stairs and walk for a minute or two to the left, you'll reach dashashwamedh ghat, where all the action takes place, from morning bathing and puja rituals to the popular sandhya arati. This guest house has a rooftop cafe with a view of the gang-es but it isn't a restaurant as was marked during my booking. This meant we had to go out for lunch and dinner, which was often tiring, after a long day out. The room we booked (ac deluxe) was too small, i believe, with a lone chair and a small cupboard (whose top was used as a table) with no shelves, which was pretty inconvenient for storage. The hotel owner, mr. Jha and his family were pretty helpful though and whatever info we sought regarding transportation and route directions, we readily got it. Overall, it was a decent stay at this guest house.

The stay was really good. Very clean room and washrooms too which are hard to find at this price at a tourist place. Proximity to ghat(ganga aarti) and the view from rooftop cafe was really good but the cafe expensive at the same time.

This guest house is excellent. Very good for staying with family and friends. The behaviour of all stuffs are so good. Dwarvanga ghat is nearest about 1 minutes, and biswanath temple gate no 1 is 10 minutes walking distance. There is a rooftop cafe with great food and good view of ganga river. Overall i love this guest house and highly recommended for others if want to stay nearby ghats and temple.

The very best option for a comfortable and cheap guesthouse in varanasi! my days here were absolutely amazing, i feel it like home. In a good place, very close to the ghat and the main street

Ambiance and hospitality of the hotel is good, owner and his family is humble. Ganga view from the roof is beautiful. I've faced one disappointment that is hotel doesn't provide you any drinking water, you have to pay for that. Otherwise it was a good experience.
