Nirvana Nature Bamboo Cottages

Good place to stay. Well maintained. The sea shore is very near. They have a restaurant and the taste was good. The area was not very crowded and a peaceful area to take a walk around.

Very good stay...worth being there

I had an excellent experience staying at this place. I am here for the facilities, location and peace the place offers. The place requires a little bit of maintenance.

1. This resort is ~20 kms away from the temple and is located far away causing inconvenience to people looking to go to places near the gokarna temple 2. While we were booking bamboo room for a family of 3 adults (me, my wife, my daughter 14 yrs) and 1 kid, it automatically moved me to choose 2 military tent. The last thing you might want to stay as a family is this tent. Tents were old, open to all sorts of insects crawling in to your rent at night. Even single traveller low on money will not stay in this. 3. doesn't show any pictures of this tent, so don't think that you can manage a night stay there. 4. There are hundreds of stay options available in gokarna, so if you don't see it ok, call some one, search in maps to get rooms from the hotels. You will never regret this decision. Only positive during my stay: the care taker and team are good. They considered our situation and converted our tent booking to tree house, which we felt safer for 1 night stay. We thank the care taker team for their consideration for our family and we were lucky that there was an available tree house accommodation that night. Or else, i would have simply gone somewhere else coz staying in that tent is never an option. I didn't get a response on the above request for more than 3 days so i ended up going to the resort and spoke to the team and managed to get tree house. Later that night i got a call from that they couldn't connect with the resort for my request.

Not maintained properly

The milita tent at nirvana nature bamboo cottage, kumta is not at all suitable for family. The facilities are poor. We were very unhappy with the stay. Hence, i had to check out immediately seeking the poor facilities.

We enjoyed our stay as property is right in front of amazing beach, could witness best sunset in long time.. property maintenance can be better but the manager at property was amazing, really liked their company as we were on a road trip and finding good companions was our main thing.. my rating is only for location and relationship we built.... Property upkeep can be better and only book cottages / tree house - don't book tent if you don't like the stay as property is mostly dark and you will feel scared. All in all great for me.. also when in Gokarna do visit paradise beach - both by trek from Belekan and off-road route via activa - must to do!!

One of the worst and pathetic place as when it comes to hygenie. Worst experience ever!

1) the road was rough. Might be bad in monsoon. 2) entrance not visible. 3) no signs. 4) no reception. 5) for tent stay, no place to keep bags, change. Tent is erected after 6 pm. Till then you have to keep luggage anywhere you find space. 6) common toilets are dirty. Even wash basins are poorly maintained. 7) tent is almost on shore but just beside the road, accessible to ongoing people, cattle, dogs, falling twigs. I was alone in the whole resort. 8) the cottage was a treehouse and moved with vibration. Dogs and ? monkeys make sounds just behind your bed. All this will drive away your sleep. 9) cockroaches inside the cottages. 10) the rickshaw charge from the bus stand is 350 and tent charges are 750. The best thing was manager rakesh. He ensured that i was comfortable. Even upgraded to a cottage with a nominal additional charge. He was available at all times personally.

Lovely property with bamboo cottages. Very pleasant. Tasty food and excellent service by the staff. I definitely recommend this to family and big groups. Great and safe place to have a quality time. Beach is few seconds walk from the property. Had a memorable experience

Amazing atmosphere, cool breeze and the sound of the waves was just amazing. The experience and service here was top notch. Clean rooms and wonderful hospitality. The location is just right beside the beach and the view is breathtaking

This place is amazing beach front property, with a really good ambience, staff and excellent sea food. This is a budget friendly and very private property to chill with your loved ones and also recommend group trips. To the all the IT folks we can also do work from beach aswell ,would definitely comeback to this place and a must visit in Kumta

It was a great experience for staying at beach side military tents. Rakesh was a great help while checking in early morning due to travel delays. I would recommend visiting the stay while in gokarna for a private and peaceful beach

I had the best time staying at nirvana. Rakesh is amazing made our stay even more comfortable. Will visit again soon.

We had a good stay at Nirvana , Rooms are good and Staff is very helping . Food is very good it feels like home made. In front of this property only beach is there Anyone can book this without any confusion. Highly recommended 😊

Very bad road till this location. And very bad quality rooms. Not as shown in photos. Very bad location also
