Mandala Abode Homestay and Guest house

It was not mentioned in the booking ,the location was very far took us around 1hr after reaching the city . Rest dinner was good and basic in the night and for inclusive breakfast it was just Maggie

We went to bed hungry as no proper food was served. The tea had a foul smell, and the chicken was undercooked and spoiled. This experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. The homestay lacked proper facilities and was managed by just one person, which made the overall experience quite disappointing.

When we entered the Hotel Room there were lots of insects and leetches in the room as well as in the wash room. There was no lock in the room. Dogs were roaming everywhere in the hotel even in the restaurant. They charged us extra for the breakfast and there was only bread and Maggi in the breakfast. Neither the TV was working nor they have the facilities of wi-fi. Geyser was also working just in the morning. There was nothing to be praised. I was very much disappointed with the rating given

I have searched the location of this property in mmt. We have stayed there for one night. We have enjoyed a lot. The two boys there are very helpful. Location is very good. Food is very good. For family trip it's the ideal location for staying.

I stayed at madala abode on 22nd dc 2024 night. Although, i faced the challenges, i ignored them. However, i stayed the same place again and before reaching, i requested the hosts to address the issues. However, none of them were addresses. While the hosts were kind and welcoming, the attendant was quite rude. The lack of basic amenities made for a rather uncomfortable stay. First and foremost, there was no running water in the homestay for the duration of my visit. This was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, especially since there was no prior warning or explanation about the issue. I had to rely on cold bucket water for essential tasks like drinking, brushing my teeth, and washing my hands, which is not something anyone expects when booking a place to stay. To add to the discomfort, the heater in my room was not working. The room was chilly, and without the ability to warm up, it made for an unpleasant experience, especially during the colder evenings. I tried contacting the hosts about it, but it seemed like there was little they could do to fix the situation during my stay. I was left to layer up in thick clothing, which was not ideal for what i had hoped would be a relaxing getaway. On top of these issues, my room had no windows. It felt cramped and stuffy, and i couldn’t get any fresh air or natural light. This lack of ventilation made the room feel claustrophobic and uninviting, and i found myself spending less time inside as a result. i had paid all expenses before hand, the hosts charged me additional rs 1, 000 for the room which is quite annoying. The location of the homestay is inconvenient and the absence of these basic amenities really overshadowed the experience. In a place where you expect comfort and functionality, it’s disappointing to deal with such fundamental issues. I would not recommend this homestay unless these problems are addressed. For future guests, i would suggest ensuring that all essential utilities are fully functional before booking a stay here.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming home in a remote, cold location, and I am still in awe of the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was going to be a stay unlike any other. The house itself is beautifully nestled in the serene wilderness, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and frozen landscapes. The owners have truly thought of everything to make you feel at home, despite the chilly surroundings. The warmth and coziness of the home were unmatched. We were greeted with a roaring fire in the fireplace and the delightful smell of freshly prepared home food—such a lovely touch after a long day of travel. The rooms were comfortable and well-heated that perfectly complemented the rugged beauty of the environment. Soft blankets, fluffy pillows, and heated beds made it easy to relax and unwind. I could stare out at the endless white landscape for hours, feeling both peaceful and awestruck by the raw beauty of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor experience. A Buddhist monastery, the Yaks and the charming local people giving us the opportunity to explore the pristine wilderness. The hosts (specially Mr Amit Chandra Ghosh) were incredibly warm and welcoming. They made sure every need was met without being intrusive, sharing fascinating local stories and offering tips on nearby hiking trails. It was clear they genuinely cared about making our stay unforgettable. This homestay is the perfect blend of adventure and comfort. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature’s beauty, this is it. I can’t recommend it enough. We are going back again on 26th December night!!
