Terrible Stay

I have booked for 2 beds in mixed dormitory. But after booking one of the bed is allotted in female dormitory. Makemytrip is unhelpful after it made a mistake. Booking was non refundable and there is no way to speak to customer care. In the end i had to pay extra at the stay for another bed at dormitory. This will be my last hotel booking from makemytrip. You have made sure that the experience turns out to be a sore one.

If you are coming through your bikes or car you can reach easily by following map. It's very peaceful place, you can enjoy the view of the mountains, villages.

A great experience

The location was amazing with the beautiful view of the Valley and mountain. The breakfast was provided by them it was awesome and delicious. The surroundings were very peaceful. It was really an excellent stay and must recommended to others. I'm very thankful to Mr. Vivek for helping me a lot and guided me in a wonderful manner that made my trip wonderful. It was a great experience. Overall the is mostly recommended to others.

Stay was comfortable

The location of the property was very good and the whole stay was comfortable. The property was clean, one person was there as a security purpose but, we feel safe and secure during the stay. Room was comfortable and the view of mountains was amazing. Wi-fi was not there, rest the facilities were good. It's a suggestible property.

Only if you want a complete isolation

There are no fans in the dorms. Then there was no water for one whole day, there's not hot water facility which was offered. In fact there's no host here, only a caretaker who doesn't know much about the area. Even at 7 it gets absolutely dark and the caretaker told us about how tigers and snakes roam about freely here. To conclude it this is not the hostel I read about in the reviews. Really disappointed. Only good thing are absolutely clean dorms.

Namaste Anurag, thank you for staying at HOTs. It seems your stay was not comfortable. I really apologize for the same and will definitely work on the things you have written here. I will also like to take an opportunity to clear you with the information you shared here, tigers are not found in this height and part of Uttarakhand. And leopards which you think they roam freely are very shy animals and are very rare to see. We have never seen 1 in last 1.5 years neither snake. Host was out because it was an emergency the day you reached. Hot water is available and given to each and every guest. You've written that a caretaker who don't know much about the area but still believes him for what he told you about leopards and snakes. That's strange. But we have taken your point of no water for the whole day as a serious concern and worked in it. Sorry for all the inconvenience caused to you. We would love to host you again .

It was a bit to reach the place as we need to climb towards the upside. It was good for youngsters and not for old people.

Location is easy to access, safe and secure place, facilities were quite enough, the room was good, food was available, and it was tasty. Staff and services were good.

Do not travel to this place!

We checked out of this place within 30 minutes of our check-in. The place is a dingy, with a small room, disgusting broken toilets. He was not in sense he did not even respond when we told him that we were leaving. We had booked for two days, but had to return to Nainital and find a hotel there on short notice. The place is not secure or safe. Reaching to this place by car is almost impossible, one has to carry their luggage up 30 feet. Kasar Devi was a huge disappointment.

The view was fantastic from there. Overall it was a nice stay. The only problem was that there was no wifi due to which faced a little trouble, rest all was good.

Beautiful Himalayan hill views from the room

The location of the property was great and the view of Himalayan mountain view from the room was really good. Liked the recreational hall. The dorm was cozy but could have maintained a bit of privacy and if the rates are reduced then it will be a great property to stay at. Need to add a few facilities in the room like heater and TV. Apart from that, it was a fine stay.
