Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat

This was my first visit to Kolaghat and to Sonar Bangla Hotel. The location is of unmatched beauty. The rooms are very nice sized. The layout of the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat is attractive The swimming pool is large sized We travelled with two elderly ladies who were over the age of 80 years, and the staff were very supportive to their needs What could be better? 1. customer orientation. The overall service was good but could be better. More needs to be done to 'delight' the guests 2. cleanliness At places - and very visible - the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat needed a good round of cleaning 3. Ripples Bar - Ordinary but Overpriced food. Penne Pasta was poorly cooked, and a small bowl of the same was much overpriced (Rs 500) the quantity was hardly sufficnet for one person 4. There were hardly any lady service staff. Why are women not being provided employment?

The food was nice otherwise though the quality and variety of breakfast could be worked upon. just 1 complaint - Probably the Bar was newly opened and they were not accepting Card but saddest part was that they asked for money in advance even before serving which was in a way very insulting...The management should look into matters like these and improve it's a Beautiful Property...The Staff were very Nice and Cooperative. he serene ambiance and warm hospitality made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. What stood out the most was the exotic taste of the food. However, the swimming pool policy was a bit disappointing. Even though I had proper synthetic swimwear, I wasn't allowed in the pool unless I bought a costume from the Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat. Despite this, the overall experience was excellent and well worth the visit.

Stay was excellent. First time visiting Kolaghat. Food was perfect -- not too oily. Room (Superior Deluxe) and balcony were massive. Very well furnished with top-class lights, upholstery, and furniture. There's even a glass ashtray in the balcony table for smoking. HK and food staff are quick to arrive if needed. Swimming pool is fantastic, as is the gameroom. Overall, really satisfied.

This was our 2nd visit to Hotel Sonar Bangla Kolaghat and I can't complain about anything. Loved the property, the room, the food and hospitality of the staffs. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to just chill for a weekend with family or friends.

The stay was awesome with ample room space. As I had booked a quadruple suite, it offered me more than enough space. The quality of the food could be better according to the price pinch. Overall the stay experience was excellent.

Very well maintained and spacious rooms with balcony that has amazing views. Swimming pool is also top notch. Must recommended to stay here for a very short getaway.

All are good but swimming pool condition is very bad please clean immediately, after swim body is itching

Overall very good stacation with beautiful rupnarayan riversde view with all amenities including maintained swimming pool and gym and food was tasty and reasonable at the restaurant. Best location for weekend family trip.
