Hotel Manimahesh, Dalhousie (H PTDC)

Manimahesh staff is excellent, very courteous and helpful. Rooms are spacious and mattress and sheets are clean. Breakfast served is also good and wholesome and despite the rush, they never run out of parathas or sandwiches. Stayed there for 4 nights. Was really happy.

Only good at reception. Need more attention at reception

We had a pleasant trip to Dalhousie. The lawns outside the hotel was covered with snow. Fried fish on garam sadak was awesome.

Location of hotel and view point is good, also enjoyed food and service of hotel staff. I will love to go again over there.

We stayed in Manimahesh for 1 day on October 19. This hotel is a big and prime location. Along with the best view room. I was traveling with my little child only 7 months old. The facility and behavior of the staff are good. Food is also tasty.

Good government hotel, with courteous staff. The service is also good. Hotel is approx one and a half km from Gandhi chowk, the Mall Road of Dalhousie.

We planned the visit to Dalhousie to get the feeling of this old settlement and its grandeur. Location of the hotel helped immensely in visiting the sites with in Dalhousie and the sites adjacent to this hill Station. Hospitality provided the feeling of home away from home, and thus the stay became memorable.

Hotel building old and not properly maintained, breakfast also not good.

Although the hotel looks a bit aged it has been maintained well and clean the interiors are tasteful like Wooden furniture and Well upholstered they give you a heater free of cost and the geyser is good for hot water. There is not much to view except the valley but that functional for the price. Food is available at foxed timings but in evening we got a nice chowmein and nice pakora. There is very few dhabas outside but not up to standard so one can go to Subhash chowk to eat at Shere Punjab and must try the last one (there are 3 of them but the old sher e punjab is well designed interiors). This hotel gives free of cost beds to drivers in a dorm. There is no lift and one can get a room 2 floors down but the staff helps with the bags. We just stopped over for a night but has. A good sleep in bitter cold weather thanks to many warm blankets and heater.

Breakfast was good and taste was amazing.
Communication was issue, nobody picked up the phone when I called.

I like the hotel for its excellent location, big rooms and reasonably good food at hotel restaurant. However, improvements can be made widening the choice in menu. One minor negative aspect - Hotel was found wanting in providng clean sheets/blanket covers.
