Dholavira Homestay

Location is about 30min from Dolavira but stay is amazing. Great experience with nice owner and helpful staff. We stayed in one of the beautiful bhungas. It was very spacious with basic amenities and hot water in shower. The only improvement we could suggest is implementing proper wifi for the property other than that everything is excellent! You have to try the food they serve - it’s best of the best, proper Gujarati flavor 😋

What a wonderful place ! the owner bharat manvar would welcome you with folded hands at your arrival and will oversee himself during the meals and serve also. Nice clean rooms, good a/ c and 24 hours hot water and they are pet friendly also superb hospitality. Lot of open spaces in the garden, ample parking space and your pet would enjoy the village feeling. Get a glimpse of farm behind and have dinner in the open under the stars with big screen showing cricket match or comedy show whichever is your choice. Yummy hot food served from pan to plate, set gujarati menu in the dinner and lovely parathas and poha in breakfast with tea and coffee. On demand would serve you pakoras and tea in hi - tea. Very humble and hardworking owner always welcomes you and talks to you with a smile, would also guide you for local sightseeing ideas. This place is 100 kms from rann utsav, 80 kms from kala dungar, the highest point of kutch from where you can see neighbouring country pakistan, 30 kms from harappan site dholavira and also 30 kms from road to heaven and also near to chippar point. In a wholesome real value for money and a lifetime experience you should go for.

We had a great stay at this place. The whole place is so homely. Very clean and surrounded by green fields. Special thanks to bharatbhai and his brother mahendrabhai for a very warm approach. We had a very tasty homely food. The world heritage site is very near. Even you get to see the virgin white desert and flamingoes. The staff is also very helpful. One of their staff member even after the whole days work volunteered.

Great host and quality food with a native feeling

We were coming from jaisalmer and were quite late at night while coming. Seeing the road condition and unknown locations we were quite afraid of moving ahead upto dholavira but at the same time we could not find safe stays in the way. We called the owner and he has ensured us that the road can be dusty and bad but no one would block you. We have shared our location with him and he has tracked us during the 3 hours distance and guided us on confusing turns. Upon reaching he was really kind and humble and greeted us so generously. His property is at the other end of dholavira near chippar point which is great scenic beauty and one must visit there. His property is just beside his forms and gives you the proper village environment with awesome cleanliness. The huts are awesome, it was a great great experience.

Nice little homestay in dholavira. The owner, mr. Bharath is very enterprising and is a good host. Normal rooms are a bit small but it is functional. Place is a bit far (around 25 kms) from the main dholavira heritage site. If you take the khavda to dholavira route to reach this place, visit the harappan site first and then head to the homestay. Hardly any public transport is available here and onky jio and bsnl network works here. Food is good and place is hygienic.

It was a wonderful and joyful stay. Room was fantastic. Staffs were very cooperative. Food was homely, tasty, hygienic and i enjoyed the way which they serve it with love. Bharath ji, the owner who treated us like his own family. He took extra care for us and arranged our onward journey safe and pleasant. A great thanks to bharathji. He arranged our site seeing arrangements. We had great time there. Loved it. Bharathji is a kind helpful and humble person. May god give success always.

The khadir island on which dholavira is located has highly limited resources including places to stay. Because of it the tourist who wishes to visit it have many times difficulty in getting good place to stay. Realizing this fact a local gye has erected a homestay property on his agriculture land in amrapar, khadir, kutch. I stayed at dholavira homestay for a single night. The owner being amature entrepreneur who lack any formal training has made a sincere effort to establish accomodation facilities. The management needs to learn professionalism in their services which can make the stay of tourist memorable.

The property is about 10/12 km prior to dholavira. The host is nice, communicative and accommodating. The rooms are small and crammed. Surroundings are open fields. The jeera from hosts field is said to be top quality, i could not buy.
