wonderful location, recently renovated, neatly maintained, very accommodating host. simple, but tasty breakfast. The hammock was the star!

Hot water 🚿 facility is very bad

Run by Ramise and his trusted care taker, this is a quaint little three room property tucked away deep within the Kerala countryside yet very near the bustling city of Guruvayoor in Thrissur, Kerala. The biggest attraction being it's location bang on the water's edge, flanked by traditional village homes and mangroves on one side. The slow flowing water body in front of the resort and the surrounding area is teaming with birds & wild flowers and is a treat for bird watchers and nature lovers. The blend of old style exteriors with contemporary minimalistic interiors, including a cute little outdoor pool gives off a premium five star feel. The rooms and common spaces are equally well maintained, and add to the overall ambience that is both intimate and fitting for small groups and families at the same time. While there is no in-house restaurant, they do provide a sumptuous breakfast with Swiggy available at doorstep if needed for the rest of the day. I was traveling alone with my son and felt very safe and cared for, with both Ramise and Vijayettan the care taker helping with local contacts and support for transport etc. even late in the evening, since I was attending a wedding at a nearby venue. The stay at Blue Heron really made my weekend and was definitely the highlight of my Kerala trip. While I'm definitely coming back, I just hope the pristine nature of the property stays preserved and that Ramise and his team are able to continue their enterprise in an eco friendly and sustainable manner that does not take away from the beauty of the ecosystem. 'Cos when you spend time there you realise how precious it is and what a privilege it is to be able to enjoy the gifts of nature. Thanks to Ramise for making it possible. So anyone going there please be prepared to share space with the residents and make sure you leave their world undisturbed with only beautiful memories and no litter. 😊

Superb n cozy place the view is to die for, we had a fantastic stay- breathtaking views and peace!!

The food was excellent I had a filling breakfast The ambience of the room is Excellent but has to improve some maintenance work like painting and cleaning Swimming pool view is great and has to improve cleaning Overall had a great stay Location is so good

You cannot judge a book by its cover. This is apt to describe this place, it's a dream come true place to relax for a day or 2, with the wonderful host helping you out on everything. We stayed as a family and enjoyed the clean rooms, small but well maintained swimming pool, an excellent breakfast. Lunch and dinner has to be ordered on swiggy/zomato. Pls connect to the host a to enjoy a peaceful and relaxed stay

This was clearly not a resort, but a bnb. The entire property has 3 rooms in total, that’s all. But the hospitality and cleanliness was good. The breakfast was also nice. It was a great experience given the lakeside view. Only thing to keep in mind is this is not a resort it’s a bnb. The name is misleading. The only major setback is it is in a very remote area with no proper road. You can park your vehicle right outside the entrance gate. Feels a little unsafe, but that’s with most bnbs in a remote location. Did not face any security issues though

Room kept neat and tidy. Hospitality is good. Breakfast served on time and food is good. Restaurants near the property are good, ( mostly non- veg) got through online food delivery app at the door step. Overall stay is satisfactory.

It's not worth for money and stinking room, bad smell of lake, if we order food it'll be more then 5 star hotel, not recommended,

Beautiful property if the weather is conducive have shared contacts with many friends who saw the pictures. You would have to swiggy food though given that there are not many restaurants around it might be good to provide food. Good breakfast is provided. As such food is not a major concern could seem a bit isolated but all safe. We ladies travel-led alone
