They call it the ‘harbingers of excitement’, the one thing that students look forward to after their extensive winter vacations. The campuses are buzzing, the budgets are rising and the student union presidents are running out of planners...the college festivals in Delhi University (DU) are definitely close!

For all you newbies out there, almost stepping into the grand realm of DU, this is exactly how February will be like for you.

Crossroads: Shri Ram College of Commerce

Crossroads is a kaleidoscope of sorts. An amalgamation of numerous events, fun and absolute enjoyment packed in four days. The high profile sponsors supporting the extravagant events is definitely a plus, thereby attracting celebrity performances. In previous years, the likes of Varun Dhawan, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Salim-Sulaiman and well known Sunburn DJs to name a few, have taken centre-stage. With great food and massive crowds, it’s quite the party “scene” at Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi!

Confluence: Hansraj College

For some of the best crowds and music, head for this fest! It is unquestionably all about the music here. With great musicians having performed at in the past along with Hansraj College’s own events like Solo Song and DJ Wars, one can definitely be optimistic about the future of the music scene in our country.

 Nexus: Sri Venkateshwara College

From chocolate eating contests and Indian classical musical performances to trendy choreography and competitive karaoke, the array of events is testimonial to the effort put in the organising and arrangement. Ranked just behind Crossroads for the ‘Best Fest’ position by Hindustan Times, Sri Venkateshwara College’s Nexus a much sought after fest. Be sure to check out their choreography event, which without a doubt is one of the most entertaining happenings here.

Montage: Jesus and Mary College

The quality of events at JMC has always left us in awe. Special mention goes to Mudra, the choreography competition. They also won the ‘best crowd’ title for the year 2013. Well, there certainly is something about the girls at JMC.

Tempest: Miranda House

The North Campus girls sure know how to organise a fest with lovely décor and quality events. Never fail to impress and never cease to entertain; Miranda House always puts up a good show!
