Situated in Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion International Airport ( TLV ) is the biggest and busiest international airport of Israel. Built in 1936 in Palestine, the airport was initially known as Wilhelma Airport. The airport got its current name in 1973, when it was renamed to honour Israel's first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion. Ben Gurion International Airport serves a hub for a number of airlines, namely EI AI, Israir Airlines, Arkia Israel Airlines and Sun d'Or International Airlines. Managed by Israel Airports Authority, Ben Gurion International Airport has three runways and four terminals. From Ben Gurion International Airport, various modes of local transport are available for city transfer.
