The Waterfront Kolad

Stayed here during the Diwali season and overall, the experience was underwhelming. The breakfast was especially disappointing — the upma lacked salt, the poha had burnt peanuts, and the omelette was unusually bland. Rooms were just about okay, certainly not worth the premium pricing they charged, especially considering the property was largely unoccupied. One major inconvenience was the need to cross a river to access the parking area — not ideal for guests with luggage or families. For the price paid, the value simply wasn’t there.

Room was clean. Host was wonderful and property was well maintained. Perfect place to stay in rainy season.

Property was clean, location is good . No food options were available. we asked for starter at night they served dried chicken. For dinner we had same dried chicken, rice, chapati and veg subji. next day morning breakfast, they have us choice between poha, bread and butter and omlet bread also rooms were too small.

I had an amazing time at this property. The location is great and access to the lake is a beautiful experience. The food served is also delicious. Service is up to the mark. The host helped us for planning local activities also.

Very nice location and clean. Good for weekend trip. Good bbq and it was fun playing in lake water.

Its a very beautiful place, all nature, though the rooms are very small but it feel very small thing if you want some piece from the hustle bustle of your daily life.

Located away from the hustle of city this is a scenic and serene place situated across the lake wherein one is ferried to the other side with the help of a manual hand driven raft. Therefore access to the outside world is limited. There are 5-6 cottages in the property with basic amenities and one shouldn’t expect much luxury. They have a limited menu and still availability of food items (A-la-Carte) is an issue. Veg/Non-Veg Buffet is very basic and food is quite bland without taste. Caretaker is a bit rude and not open for suggestions and feedback. Network here is weak and one has to rely completely on Hotel Wifi. They provide bon-fire at request by charging a few extra bucks. There’s no dedicated swimming pool but there’s a demarcation within lake wherein one can take dip. Overall it’s a good scenic property for nature lovers with lot of potential to develop but there’s quite a gap between service offerings and price they charge.

There are so many shortcomings in this place. - staff is poorly trained. - i have to remind multiple times to get towels and soap which was not there in room. - place is not reachable directly by vehicle (car or bus. Vehicle has to be parked on one side of lake and then use custom made water raft move in with your luggage. There was no staff to carry your luggage, so you have carry your own stuff all along raft and then on raw road to room. - no possibility to go out after dark, since custom made raft is really not good option to go back to your vehicle. - there is no television inside room for entertainment and also there are no activities in resort as well. So its ideal only for people who want to go there and sleep in silence. - food was fresh but the taste and quality is not up to the mark.

Very well maintained facility. Cottages are neat and clean. Location: all rooms are lake facing, lake is less than 50m away from rooms. Food: homely food, cook is very humble and prepare as per your choice/taste. Staff is very cooperative and ready all the time at your service. My family enjoyed boating from parking area to cottages. Very peaceful place to enjoy with family and friends.

The best part about this stay is the isolated location. It's an offbeat location where you can swim as much as you want in the lake. The water is calm and clear which is rare these days. They have limited stay options which is the best part, it doesn't get too crowded even if they're full. Must visit for people who like peace.

We visited this place again and enjoyed th peace and calm it offers. Only part is the staff is though good and friendly needs a bit of training in cleanliness.

Location was awesome but food, hospitality was not good. And the room was not worth.
